Why final round on a 6 round shotgun?

I prefer it to luck in the chamber since you know when it will proc. You can't just fire outside your normal range hoping that this round is the lucky one. With final round, you can. And once you spend your mag, just reload one shell. Bam. Abusable.

How often do you fire 5 felwinter shots in one life? (Not including pubs). Then have enough ammo to keep doing it...

Not often. But more often when low on overall ammo

LinC definitely not. There is very little use in bonus damage if you don't know where it is. Unreliable. At least in my opinion. As for kneepads, yes, arguably a better overall perk, but, I have kneepads on my matador so I'd like some variety. Matador has a faster fire rate but lacks the accuracy buff of hammer forged. So Felwinter's purpose is to achieve MAXIMUM possible one-bang distance. And I know I can achieve that with the final round.
