That space level was probably the coolest thing in any Halo game, though.

That was a nice touch, Halo Reach had a decent one as well.
-
I think we can all agree that Halo 5 will probably have space battles. (We saw something of one in a trailer, although that does not look like it's spaceships, just banshees you can fly.
-
Someone liked the post and brought me back here: did it? I'm not sure the end of Blue Team qualifies, really.
-
Sadly, no. There weren't any real space battles.
-
I would be surprised if Halo 5 didn't have space battles. I'll withhold judgment until I see them of course.
-
Then 343 went "hey! Let's do a space battle!" Which amounted to Starfox in Halo.
-
Yeah. The flight in H4 wasn't terrible, but it wasn't anything special. Too short, too arcadey, no variety.
-
Wtf are you talking about. The space battle in Halo 4 shits on the garbo we got in Reach. Reach: blow up these retextured space phantoms Halo 4: blow up massive cannons aboard a ship hovering over the Earth while your jet is strapped with a nuke to save the planet

Edited by ubermorph3000: 7/27/2015 10:31:19 PMHalo Reach had two free flying areas. Halo 4 had an on rails area and one free flying area.
your move
Dat skybox in H4 easily madeup for it. I will admit neither game's space missions were really good. But in H4 the sounds and visuals slightly made up for it. Flying the Broadsword was tons o fun, but it was ugly as hell and didn't look like something that belongs in space. New pelican is hideous too.

Halo Reach's might not have looked it sounded as good but it was more fun to play because there was no on rails shooting.

It was definitely a highlight of Reach.
