Is This the Real Reasons Why People Hate COD?
Call of Duty, The most hated video game franchise, so hated that you can almost always find COD hater anywhere in the internet, yet still has a strong sale in almost every COD that come out, and no i'm not a fanboy, i only own 3 COD, COD4 ,BO2 and AW.
i found this comment in you tube's comment section on a official COD AW reveal trailer and yes there are some grammatical error in the comment and i'll leave the fixing to you guys, because my grammar are bad too ;)

...But old games (Cod 1-3 , MW etc.) will be forgotten , nobody will ever remember them

The problem is that the game has become too fast paced, and thus unrealistic. The game is basically played alone, as working as a team is something unknown to CoD players, which is boring. It lost the military style aspect, which was a mistake Battlefield made too. Often kills involve "OH SHIT A PERSON" *BANG* and then you continue running in circles. Matches take more luck than skill, all the time. Strategy is nonexistent. Cover is gone, in nearly every map. Battlefield 4 is a much better alternative.

Cod will never die as long as treyarch continue making zombies. I'm not a fan of the multiplayer because the T2K is too fast, has been shortened over the years. Zombies > Multiplayer

People hate Call of Duty because they hate its multiplayer. I'm not a huge fan of the multiplayer (the only time I've ever prestiged was once in Ghosts) but it's always very similar to the previous Call of Duty's multiplayer. I like CoD because I like the story and co-op mode of every one, and multiplayer every now and then.

I believe Bo3 will be good. I've seen the multiplayer gameplay from youtubers and it seems like it will be better than AW and Ghosts hell maybe even Bo2. But I won't really know till the beta.

The problem with CoD is it is made on an almost 20 year old engine, and Activision are a bunch of liars and cjeats.

Nope, they are actually just getting worse. Advanced warfare is the worst yet, combining terrible weapon balance, lag compensation, bad mechanics (exos), skill based matchmaking, and terrible map design.

The last COD I really enjoyed was Call of Duty 3. It had surprisingly good music and characters I actually cared about. Call of Duty 2: Big Red One was also a very fun game with characters that I actually felt sad to see die. None of this modern, over the top explosion fests even come close to the originals.

6 RepliesThat guy was taking some good cush when he wrote that.That is far from the reason. 1.cod a rigged game that hands out wins to keep you addicted. 2.Its one of the biggest casual catering games. 3.cut and past then add jet pack 4.It set the new standard bad quality/easy god mode games with high priced cut and past dlc.Now all game companies are copying to blueprint.

No. I get the message, and it's okay but doesn't apply to Call of Duty. COD went from the most innovative FPS game ever made, to a pile of rainbow colored shit. There is not one good add on to the franchise since Blackops 1. In terms of everything, maps, guns, modes, perks, story, fúcking everything. (I wasn't even a big fan of Blackops either, but I will admit sticks and stones and wager matches were somewhat innovative at the time). Name one innovative/progressive thing the franchise has done since Blackops...

2 RepliesI think that applies to some games but not CoD, I think people hate CoD because they're low quality games with minor changes that sell for $60 and it has the worst community ever created. I think people want to avoid being part of that community or being associated with it.

This applies much better to newer Halo games and their old fans rather than CoD and its followers. This franchise receives hate because of what it is at its core: The highest selling, most popular game on the mainstream market that is produced by a publisher know for its money hungry methods. Surely has earned the bad rap it gets.

This is one of the better arguments as to why CoD is hated so much. For me, the main reason is the [i]horrid[/i] "community". There's tons of squeakers and racists, quite a few lagswitchers because the devs refuse to add fully dedicated servers and they mostly refuse to accept change, case and point the exo suit. Whether it's because they refuse to take off the nostalgia glasses, they can no longer abuse the crappy spawn mechanics or they don't know how to aim up (their intelligence kinda proves this point), it's clear that the exos get a lot of hate (largely undeservedly). Darwin said change is necessary for survival, yet it appears that many players refuse to accept it, just look at the backlash from the weapon balancing in Destiny. While I thought exos were great, they were hardly revolutionary. The same premise was in Titanfall and Brink. Had those games not come out, it would look more original.

The games are ok, but i have two reasons for not really liking them. First off the campaign tend to be between terrible and bad (at best they are unmemorable), i really dont care for its multiplayer (something about it i just find boring), so the campaign was all i really cared about (and for me that died right after CoD 3, so much more could have been done but instead they killed it). But that isnt really the reason for me that CoD gets some hate, that is more of a reason for me personally not liking the games and not buying them. The main reason for me kind of hating CoD is its community, for some reason CoD is a vortex that just sucks in some of the worst people in all the gaming community (not all that play CoD are bad people, there just seems to be a higher concentration of them in CoD games). Those people in the CoD community really tends to ruin both the CoD games and the gaming community in general.

Number 1 AW is just terrible plain and simple. Besides AW it's basically been the same game rereleased with minor changes. AW just made cod worse than the standard copy cat.
