Me too. I've always been terrible at pvp, but during the thorn bounty, the only void weapons I had were shotgun, hmg and a not-so-great sniper. Anyway, trying to grind out those 500 points, I started to develop a comfortable play style. I don't blink, but some maps (Cauldron, Anomaly) are suited to shotgun play. I run GG with incendiary blades and snipe on other maps. I usually run Ill Will or Bad JuJu as my primary. To make a long story short… [spoiler]too late…[/spoiler] …Thorn bounty helped me get better at PVP. I'm not that good, but of course I want to try out my hard-earned prize. I've used it a couple of times, but since it's not fully upgraded (and I can't aim) I don't feel that bad. I figure anyone that dies by my Thorn still curses me as though I was a lazy scrub, but f that. I've paid and played the same as everyone else since before day one. If I feel I'm not abusing Thorn because of how and when I use it, then there's no reason I should feel guilty or be lumped together with every other Thorn user. I'd rather be that guardian that dominates someday with Ill Will actually. A guardian can dream and in the meantime, I'm gonna try different weapons and load outs to try and find what works for me. Especially since I'm no longer limited to void damage. All this grand-standing about how a "real" player fights their battles or how they play a game is getting really tiresome. If people want to be carbon copies of one another, let them.
