PoE gear. Not great
Just like the title says. Why is the prison armor and even most weapons crappy. There should be two tiers of armor like in Trials. We should get better armor for beating Skolas. Sometimes I beat him and don't get anything at all. There's no reward especially after lightswitch I feel like we should get something. I know it's most likely too late to implement but at the very least make those elemental primaries drop a bit more. I haven't gotten one yet.
I hope I made sense. It's late just wanted to put my thoughts out there. Lol
EDIT 1: wow I didn't think anyone was really going to respond. What I was trying to say but it was late by me is that there should be another set of armor for beating skolas. Either it randomly drops like the elemental primaries or it can be sold by variks for 2 armor cores hell even add a weapon core to the mix. Maybe the skolas armor could let us carry hand cannon and heavy ammo or scout and heavy like I saw with trials boots. That could be very useful in PoE.
Edit 2: I want to add that the elemental primaries shouldn't just stun captains they should do bonus damage to all fallen. Also why not have some elemental primaries do damage to vex, hive or cabal. It's not only fallen we face in PoE. Just like there is armor for vex, hive or cabal so should the weapons.

1 ReplyYou're right it's laughable, I got an elemental primary from skolas, it could stun captains which was great, the burn was solar though, I've yet to come across a captain with a solar shield, completely useless.

1 ReplyI agree the POE gears/weapons are not attractive at all (i have only played Warlock so not sure about other class items) I stop playing it since I have all my raid stuffs maxed will only come back to POE if I need etheric lights to ascend another BTRD or something

1 ReplyYes!!! Why is it Trials gear is the only gear in the game where you can have double ammo and double reload speed perks? You only have to get 5 wins to purchase this gear. There should be equivalent gear in Prison. I'm specifically referring to gauntlets and boots. Gantlets where you have increased reload speed for a primary weapon type and increased reload for special or heavy weapons and boots where you have extra ammo for a primary weapon type and extra ammo for heavy weapons.

1 ReplyThe elemental primaries on Skolas drop really low - I figured it was about 15-20% based on getting 3 in 17 Skolas kills. Sadly the only weapon worth keeping is the hand cannon - and that is only worth keeping if it isn't arc damage because it is terrible compared to Fatebringer.

If you just look at the stat rolls, it looks like "crap"....because its 100% strength. But if you WEAR and USE the armor as intended----in the PoEs and in the Hive rooms----I get armor, agility, recovery AND grenade/melee boosts. To the point where I can take more damage than my Titan, and move faster than my Hunter. Which is why the PoEs weapons focus solely on base stats, and not perks. Because most the performance-enhancing perks people would be looking for in weapons, are either covered by the superior base stats or in the perks for the armor. The Gear for HoWs was not designed to used in a one-set-of-gear for all situations manner. It was designed for you to have to collect multiple loadouts, and switch them based on the opponent you're going to be facing. As for elemental primaries, you're right. The drop rate should probably be higher. But also realize that these weapons are the game's ulitmate prizes. Bungie wants them to be the carrot that keeps us coming back to play the game's hardest content.

2 RepliesA few, and I mean few, weapons from variks are amazing. The good ones I see are wolf born oath and veil of shadows. My sniper( veil of shadows) is good because of its roles and the wolf born oath is good because it's high fire/reload rate makes it reliable. The armor from batiks is good because it makes the prison easy...ier. You can get etheric light from the prison. So that's my take on the PoE. Now, I yet to see one of the prisons weapons, but variks is pretty much the prison vendor.

4 RepliesWhat are you even talking about? PoE armor has like the same perks as Raid armor, plus extra perks for PoE. There's nothing wrong with it at all. The weapons are awful though, you're right there.
