All activities are going to take so much longer now and it has nothing to do with skill or I'm bad once you have completed everything you want it to start going to fast so you can get rewards so you have more time to do other activities or even do real stuff with the gally and black hammer nerf activities are going to be twice as long

take so much longer
Oh noe now you have to actually do the mission without burning the boss and use in game strategies.

2 RepliesThe biggest problem I have with this new update which I haven't seen addressed yet is when this nerf goes through is what will make a exotic weapon an exotic weapon and a legendary weapon a legendary weapon if all they want to do is make all weapons equal in the game why have a different category for weapons and gear in general! I understand and appreciate that bungie has noticed that players are refusing to play with other players who do not have a maxed out ghally or thorn but I personally have never experienced a real issue with this not all players are like that and really if this was a big deal why aren't bungie considering just adding matchmaking for raids or prisons kill two birds with one stone. Lastly the biggest part of the let down will be where will the incentive be to go out and get these weapons the best times I have had on this game was going out and getting thorn and ghally its what kept me coming back every week for these weapons and the hours of gameplay and to have that taken away by a weapon you could just get from xur or the vangaurd is just a bigger let down. I hope bungie will reconsider the patch cos the taken king looks awesome but all this change and stuff the time I have spent on the game to be wasted then what is the point of his back and forth anymore.....

Aside from Black Hammer my other concern is the Nerf Across the board to Hand Cannons , specially Legendaries

Edited by hairycotter: 7/20/2015 6:11:33 PMMaybe if every boss in the game wasn't just a bullet sponge people would use other weapons than gally

2 RepliesThe nerfs to BlackHammer, Icebreaker and Gjallarhorn do appear to be intended to slow the game down and change up strategies, if we get enough new content that's fine. But if we are grinding all the activities we have time for a month in, they've made it so that we get less done in the time we have. This feels good for the short term as though we finally have enough content, once you've played it all a few times and realize what's worth repeating, it has the potential to be frustrating because instead of making it sufficiently harder, they nerfed our boss killers to slow how much grinding gets done. This'll either cause a player to increase the amount of time he plays or make them prioritize and feel like they are missing out each week

Get hands on time with 2.0 before you declare the state of the game or the patch.

14 RepliesThe purpose for the weapon nerfing is because of us as destiny has said in their release if anybody took the time to read it. People who don't have gally are being openly turned away from participating because people are ignorant. If this wasn't happening they never would have nerfed it. Nobody to blame but ourselves. By the way, I'm against nerfing weapons myself even though I don't have gally.
-
2 RepliesBut they are twice as quick now. So by nerfing them wouldn't strikes just go at a normal speed?
-
3 RepliesEdited by BarbblerElf: 7/20/2015 6:20:11 PMSo you're saying that the majority of people want to skip all the content and go straight to the rewards as fast as possible. Then what? No point in pvp unless trials. No point in trails after you go flawless. Raids are useless now and can be done in 20 minutes with checkpoints. Poe is worthless after you've done it 6 times. Hunting wolves is pointless, rewards suck. What content are you aiming to spend more time on that you need to rush through everything asap to play? If you want to do real life stuff you can literally shut off your system any time you want and go do it. There's no reason to complete everything possible each week just to "have it done"

Edited by SweetZombieJesus: 7/20/2015 6:18:54 PMWe actually don't know the extent of the Ghorn nerf and to be honest if a decrease of 5 shots a minute with ice breaker adds more than a few minutes into your endgame or Black Hammer was that important to you... Well, I hope you adapt quickly... Cause the changes aren't going anywhere until we actually experience them. All of this is paving way for TTK weapons... Bungie won't budge. We know nothing until these changes come into practice. How about we wait and call it on September.

7 RepliesContent is supposed to be hard
-
42 RepliesHow do you know? You don't even know how much it is going to be nerfed? Quit your crying. The Ghorn is so Op it has to be nerfed. Any weapon that causes people to require them to join a group needs to be nerfed. Get over it. It effects everyone the same!
-
over exaggerate much? it will not take twice as long, just a couple extra shots and that is it

I stole this from another guardian. I forgot his/her name but he/she made a good point with this.
Bungie is forgetting that powerful weapons are fun. At this rate there will be no reason to grind for any weapons other than the ones you can buy from the Vanguard and faction vendors. Destiny has become a pathetic Leave No Guardian Behind wasteland where special weapons get nerfed so everyone is equal.
In my own opinion the only thing Bungie is doing right with the upcoming patch is PvP. However, there will still be lag and cheaters.
-
3 RepliesI personally think bungie screwed up with the gjallahorn situation. Before with just 1 or 2 ghorns in a raid you could make sure you did the task, now you'll need 2-3 or even 4 to do the same, making the elitism worse then before. What they should of done was also bring up cluster bombs to do more damage to compete so ghorn wouldn't be the only way and would of got rid of most of the elitism as anyone can get a rocket launcher and Reroll it for clusters.
-
1 ReplyYeah, it sucks that it will take 45 seconds to melt the boss instead of 30. Because those 15 seconds and extra 2 rockets mean so much. At least everyone without a gjallarhorn can still expect to take 5-10 minutes on the encounter like previously.

4 RepliesDon't jump the gun dude. You haven't played the new activities yet, you haven't tried the new guns yet, and you haven't play tested the weapon changes yet. Remember when they were changing the HC last time they balanced weapons? The forums caught on fire, eveyone called BS, people danced in the streets cause thorn would finally calm down. That changed nothing. Don't judge what they are changing till you have played. You may be surprised.
-
2 RepliesOh yes....a few minutes is such a -blam!-ing nightmare that we all have to scream murder and quit. Idiot.

2 RepliesThey made a video game take skill lets all cry now

10 RepliesHey buddy, you aren't from the future, you have no idea how weapons will act until the patch.

How about the fact that only an idiot would get excited about a new weapon when Bungie could Nerf it at anytime. I see why people don't care about the game now.

This bait is so tasty...
Must... Not... Bite...
Stop and dance for a sec, enjoy the scenery.
