Since Black Hammer takes from your reserves we need to do an ammo audit.

Since we have this [i]huge problem[/i] of ammo coming from nowhere. By the reasoning of bungie we should also have: String of Curses perk should take from your reserves. (Side note: bad juju doesn't take ammo from reserve. Trust me or go try it yourself on a level 2 vandal) Replenish perk should take from your reserves. Clown cartridge perk should take from your reserves. Triple tap perk should take from your reserves. Grave robber perk should take from your reserves (almost forgot that one) Secret round perk should take from your reserves. Performance bonus perk takes rounds from your magazine and adds them to your reserves. Shoot to loot takes that much ammo from your reserves and adds it to your magazine. Mulligan perk takes from your reserves if it ever procs. Invective's charge time should be tripled. Super Good Advice perk should take from your reserves. No backpack should take from reserves, causing icebreaker to divide by zero and instantly crash your console. Surely I'm forgetting something but man let me tell you if your ammo accounting is pulling ammo from nowhere it should be taken from your reserves. Sound stupid? Good. It's supposed to. Lower the impact of black hammer. Make it so it can't stun lock bosses. Keep the perk that makes it useful. Stop making lame bullet sponge giants in circle rooms where long range pot shots can take them down.

  • They should keep it the way it is but instead of taking 3 bullets to refill the mag it should be one bullet from reserves to fill a mag. Im sure this will please both us and bungie.

          • I see it like this, Black hammer is a legendary with an exotic level perk. Anything that can generate infinite ammo is worthy of the exotic name. So they had a choice make the weapon exotic or make the perk legendary. They chose the latter.

              • Well, it all depends on what bungie says is wrong, when it's wrong and how they apply it. Shotguns- OP need to be fixed because you don't need any other weapons. Black hammer- needs nerf because it's OP because you don't need another weapon. Ice breaker- see above! Gally- see above So apparently you only currently need one of these weapons and mobs fall down at your feet and worship your leetness.

                • Another person that doesnt understand the difference between an exotic and a legendary. Black hammer and bad juju have nothing in common. Bad juju, being an exotic, is allowed to have infinite ammo. Black hammer, being a mere legendary, shouldnt have infinite ammo. You are retarded, like most people on this forum. If you babies [b]really[/b] want to save the Black Hammer, make [u][b]ONE[/b][/u] big petition to have the black hammer preserved as an exotic in TTK.

                  • It's sad that a sniper that fills a niche roll is getting nerfed. I never even use mine anymore, as spear with final round and field scout is infinitely more useful in all situations.

                  • The only problem with bh is that for a legendary sniper it's incredibly powerful with potentially unlimited ammo. If they had tested the weapon at all to see how powerful it is they would have found out that it should be an exotic.

                  • My problem is that it only has 18 bullets in reserve, and 3 in the clip. 3 was fine because of its perk but now that its useless then it should have more. Ill just use a different sniper with 25 in reserve. AND more bullets in the clip.

                    • Black hammer would be shit without high impact with its three round magazine. Also it isn't a big deal. The gun will still be amazing. You just actually need to participate in the fight and get green ammo boxes.

                      • "Stop making lame bullet sponge giants in circle rooms where long range pot shots can take them down" That is the real issue. Black hammer, icebreaker, and gjallarhorn all make those bosses die faster. In turn we kill them quicker and get our loot and move on. They want these boss fights to take as long as possible to extend the life of their game where we get bored of the bosses we have killed 100 times to get loot from rngesus. Instead of making challenging bosses and unique mechanics they nerf weapons that work well. If strikes and end game content were more fun and challenging we wouldn't want to rush through them as much. Aside from VoG which was and is very enjoyable to me. How they went from that to Crota is beyond me. PoE is a good idea, why didn't they just make a straight up hoard mode? Didn't they create halo which, stop me if i'm wrong, basically invented/defined hoard mode? At least PoE bosses have unique mechanics like the vex one. Has any player on any forum asked for a gun to be nerfed because it killed bosses to easily?
