Well considering a VERY large portion of video gamers are into Anime (the non porn japanese cartoons) and also a larger portion of gamers are japanese, why are you surprised or shocked? Also what a person watches in their free time has no bearing on weather or not they are a good or bad person. Are you ignorant or a racist by the way?
