That just means it will do full damage up to its max range, which is how all guns currently work. After the change, auto rifles will do gradually reduced damage the farther away something is, but this won't affect hard light projectiles (they didn't really clarify if this only applies to bullets that ricochet or not) But no, this is not "infinite range" or anything. It just means it will be effective up to its max range, UNLIKE other auto rifles.
