Nobody even uses them anymore
What they need is a PvE buff- not a nerf.

1 ReplyPoor fusions , ppl don't use them no more and they still get nurf lmao
-
Just think about the vex and the queen! ;( sad day!
-
3 RepliesIt's not really a nerf, it's redefining their role. They aren't meant to have scout rifle range.

2 RepliesTotally agree. They needed to make Fusions a more appealing choice for medium and close range combat than just nerf Shotguns. In PvE especially I haven't equipped a Fusion Rifle other than Vex for the Overcharge bounty in upwards of 5 months. Vex at least has moments of viability in PvP, but the class on the whole needed help, not a nerf. I'm puzzled still that they made the changes they did. Slowing down the bolts was another head scratcher.

I don't understand why they nerf them still. Noone uses even pve and their graphs don't have even exotic ones on it

1 ReplyNo joke. Longer travel time for shots? They do realize that affects QBB and the Vex, right? Less range? The range is already pathetic. Nobody uses FRs in PvP, so why nerf them? Give them a buff, if anything.

1 ReplyEdited by Erijian: 7/17/2015 11:01:32 PMI like how all low-charge rate Fusion Rifles are getting their Range values nerfed because of the ones Bungie keeps adding in that have a base 60+ Stability right off the bat. Because those Fusion Rifles have such high Stability naturally, all you need to do is build the Range values on them to allow for absurd kills at distances with extreme accuracy. Blame PLUG ONE.1, Purifier VII, GIVE/Take Equation, and Snakebite Surgeon for the nerfs.

3 RepliesEdited by TheArtist: 7/17/2015 10:54:19 PMThe ones that are most useful for pve play WERE buffed. Accuracy and Range are very closely linked in FRs so the "short range" FRs are getting their range buffed up. The ones that were nerfed were the ones that people were spec'ing up for super-long range OHKs in the Crucible. They want you to be able to reach out and hit something with shotgun like power in PvE, but stand off just beyond shotgun range. But not be able to reach out and do that at nearly scout-rifle range like some of the FR abusers were doing in the Crucible.
-
Because of the shotgun nerf. If they left fusions alone then that would b used by everyone. Fusions r still beast. But they would b the op special everyone starts crying about
-
I use my fusion mostly all the time in pvp. Seriously needs to go back to its original damage.
-
I think it's all about balance PvP wise, but you're right. PVE buff would be great.
-
5 RepliesThey're shit in everything, but vex is just insane in pvp... Its rare, GOOD, because its more annoying than thorn :D 1shot from 20m away... And ppl bitch about shotguns from 5m away....
-
1 ReplyTo ensure people don't feel compelled to return to fusion rifles with the shotgun nerf. Fusion rifles already had their in the sun I guess.
-
They balanced everything as a whole. A change to one weapon affects how everything else needs to be adjusted. I'm sure during testing the nerf to shotguns made fusion rifles superior...which led to adjusting of them as well. Like they mentioned, they aren't just picking one issue at a time...they're rebalancing the entire weapon system as a whole...so everything is gonna move around a little.
-
I thought that was funny as well. We know since we nerfed the fusion rifles last patch no one has been using them in PvP or PvE but we think they could use another nerf. What a waste of time.
-
2 RepliesThis is the truly baffling thing, if anything Fusion Rifles desperately need some type of change as they are worthless. My Plan C is like toilet paper.

Edited by Star Gazer2: 7/17/2015 9:59:46 PMjust like when the auto-rifle nerf was unnecessary, Bungie does what ever they like to destroy at least one weapon type in pvp each weapon balance patch.
