Edit: no weapon this weekend. Bungie states they're unable to safely alter him.
I'd imagine with xur not showing up with a weapon in his inventory, Bungie will have to manually select which weapon he will have. Then insert it into his inventory themselves. Seems to conclusively prove he's not RNG. What do you guys think. I've never believed he's rng. But Bungie is in an interesting position right now. Here's the thing- if he's truly rng and they have no control over what he sells, which is what Deej said, then how can they manually insert something into his inventory? They're caught between a rock and a hard place. Obviously it's their game and creation, and to think they can't control any aspect of their creation is foolish. However it puts them in a difficult position of looking like they've been lying if they have to manipulate his inventory themselves. Theoretically he should not have shown up empty handed today. Why would they ever program him to not bring an item?

Just had a thought. He's never "glitched" in 44 weeks. Supposedly Rng. They are saying they can't alter him. Those sum bitches altered him and it screwed up!

4 RepliesI believe he's manipulated RNG. Why else would he sell some things two weeks in a row, or very close after one another? The RNG selected Gjallarhorn, and Bungie said "no. not today."

Kinda foot in mouth on this one

2 RepliesBump for conspiracy theories

Maybe they accidentally included future TTK exotics in his roll and all our versions of the game don't recognise the value so came up blank??
-
Being as how bungie and Deej have been caught lying several times, I do not think they care about appearances. It's more than a coincidence that Xur fails to provide a weapon the day after the large weapon balancing announcement.

1 ReplyHe might be rng. He could have chosen Ghorn this week, then bungie saw and freaked so they changed it
-
I think its RNG but they decide if that's what will be sold or not. This week Gjallahorn came up, Bungie said hell no. Something went wrong when they removed it. Let's be real here, there is no way he would turn up without a weapon.
-
Its a value in a database. This can be altered to anything desired by those with access. There may be an RNG method to 'roll' Xurs inventory so it feels like another chance game but make no mistake that Bungie can alter a value in their own data store whenever they want.
-
No, they'll just forcibly recycle his inventory to another random load out most likely.
-
He didn't sell Ghorn or Icebreaker at all, I was in the Tower and checked Xur the second he spawned.

Or... Bungie just hits the button that RNGs his weapon and that's what he sells? Just because Bungie knows what it is doesn't mean it isn't RNG.
-
Doesn't really prove anything yet.. They can still have it randomly generate an item, And insert. They'd just be forcing it on xur. But who knows. Maybe it will prove it, we won't know.. If it's a junk weapon, everyone will say they purposely chose that so rng doesn't exist. If it's a great weapon people will say it's to take attention off that 2.0 update so rng is fake.

2 RepliesWe've known for months that he isn't RNG. Someone's late to the party.

Illuminati... Proven.

Don't matter. They all got nerfed anyways.

We all knew that when Bungie said that it was basically rng, it was pure bs. The real joke is Bungie actually thinking that we would believe that.

1 ReplyDude did u just realize that, ofc hes not RNG
-
Xur is RNG. He actually selected Ghorn for this week but Bungie freaked and removed it
-
2 RepliesI get it & I don't think xur is rng either.......but is this actual proof....No. It isn't "proof"

Swamp gas. It's just swamp gas. Move along.
