Sign here if you don't want bungie to nerf Icebreaker, black hammer, the last word, Hawkmoon and gjallarhorn.
Bungie just when i thought you cant mess things up even more you proved me wrong
They are nerfing range and stability of the last word when all they needed to do was to fix the glitch.
They are nerfing the icebreaker so now it takes 48 seconds to fully regenerate all 6 shots back when it use to be 30.
They are nerfing hawkmoon so now the luck shots dont stack, they do less damage and they have a less of a chance of activating. Now its just a handcannon with no perks.
They are nerfing black hammer so now when you land 3 shots it takes the ammo from your inventory making it so you cant chain shots forever so if you have a black hammer your weapon is going to be useless next update.
They are nerfing GJALLARHORN because people without GJALLARHORN were crying to bunge because people dont want to play with them because they have no GJALLARHORN
Now GJALLARHORN is just a shit version of the truth because they are reducing the damage of wolf pack rounds
because of this i refuse to play with anyone who doesn't have GJALLARHORN because they caused the best weapon in destiny to be nerfed
And to top it off THORN IS BEING BUFFED Now the thorn DOT damage STACKS UP TO 5 TIMES. ARE YOU ON CRACK?
Also if you are a fan of handcannons every single hand cannon in the game is getting a range and clip size nerf
EDIT: I was looking forward to playing the taken king but after this update i am selling destiny and never buying a bungie product ever again in my life
EDIT 2: You can clearly see why this nerf happend now. bungie wants people to spend $40 on the taken king to have access to the new extoic weapons wich will be better than ice breaker and G horn which is why they didint give a damage % for the G horn nerf
This is disgusting and i ask people please dont support this shady and disgusting way of forcing people to buy DLC
Personally after this update im quitting destiny entirely
If this was really about balance the update would come out next week but its about profiting off people so its coming out a few days before the taken king

Really don't want Last Word nerfed. It's getting nerfed, alond with the class itself. So.... Double nerf on range. Great. Now it's useless

2 RepliesSigned and completely agree. Been getting very bored with the game and this pretty much seals it for me. Most angry about Ice Breaker, Black Hammer and Gjallarhorn. I agree with others Bungie, fix the bad to be better. Don't nerf the good to be just mediocre. It ruins the time and effort we all put into earning certain guns through luck, Xur or RNJESUS. Exotics should be overpowered along with Raid Items. They are the hardest to acquire and should offer an equal bonus reward to the player. I earned these weapons from hundreds of hours of play, countless hours learning to beat a boss and even more hours carrying new players/friends thru this game for the chance of these high powered guns. Reevaluate what the real problems are with the game and fix those issues. PvP and PvE are totally different and should never be treated with the same solution. If a weapon is too OP, come out with solutions to that problem with answers, not complete reworking of the code. Make a new weapon to combat that problem, or new armor or new abilities. Hell make the PvE enemies tougher in a way rather than always changing the weapon stats. Offer new options to PvP players to heal faster, have new buffs only in PvP, add new armor perks only for PvP. There are tons of great solutions out there, use that multimillion dollar budget to fix them. In real life when a problem occurs, especially in war, we innovate and combat the problem. There isn't an option to reprogram the enemies DNA or replace their technology. It's this playing God approach that we hate which completely changes the very game we love too drastically from week to week and month to month, which creates uncertainty and anger. Everything in this game which I've worked so hard at becomes meaningless overnight without warning and that leaves a very sour taste in my mouth. And this is exactly why we players hate this approach to your problem solving.

1 ReplyI agree with a lot of their tweaks. You shouldn't use a revolver to shoot the same distance as a scout rifle. It makes sense. They're trying to make all the guns have their purpose. Probably should have been thought through and tested, and done pre-release (isn't that what the beta testing was for?)...but you know. I don't know what to think about the exotic nerfs. One side of me says if it's not a bug, why are you messing with it. The other side says well if players are only using three guns for everything in the game, then it needs to be fixed. I also don't spend too much time stressing about a video game, and I'm kind of tired hearing everything get judged on it's PvP value alone, but I can see why this could really bother people.

Yes there are a couple that will make the game more challenging but that's the whole point of playing the game, for challenge and the skill required to complete said challenge. It's not supposed to be easy. And for the record thorn is NOT being buffed. The DoT will no longer allow for 2 shot kills in crucible from the DoT alone. By the time you get maximum stacks on a target they will be dead from bullet damage anyway. At least people stand a chance against the gun now. If anything its been buffed for PvE which I would prefer anyway. Whiners like you lot are the reason why games get boring and pointless too quickly. EDIT: Also the reason why they are charging for DLC is the fact the game won't pay for it self. Costs for developing and producing content isn't exactly cheap and the fact they don't charge monthly fees mean they aren't going be getting the money out of things air. They need to charge something to pay the devs with. I'm more than happy to pay for new content if it helps support hard working producers of a game i still enjoy playing.

And the thorn isn't being buffed (for pvp anyways) yeah the dot stacks but by the time the dot stacks will begin to do serious damage you'll be dead from the actual bullets killing you

I'm whining about: Thorn, Last Word, GALLY, Ice Breaker, Hawkmoon I'm happy about: Hard Light, NECRO, ammo clip reduction in hand cannons (I have luck in the chamber and final round on several.. ) Nobody panic over nerfs/buffs. A month or two will pass and Bungie, after many, MANY complaints from upset noobs about OP auto rifles in the Crucible will essentially revert things back to the way they are now (i.e. a lethal Thorn, a lethal Gally with full Wolfpack armageddon and a fully-auto Last Word with a 99-round clip). Have faith, Guardians.

Last word needs the nerf. Ridiculous range on that thing. Everything else could stay the same. Hawkmoon isn't as easy to use. Icebreaker, BH and Gally are getting nerfed because they don't like how we're playing PvE. Again.

I agree that Black Hammer, Ice Breaker and G-Horn don't need a nerf, but Last Word and Hawkmoon do need a nerf. You shouldn't be able to one shot with Hawkmoon or two shot with Last Word. I'm stiil happy that they are buffing No Land Beyond, it's the only weapon I use in crucible (besides a shotgun).

Its barely getting nerfed, alls thats happening now is that your actually gonna have to pick up ammo for it. you will still be able to chain 21 shots of on a target without ever reloading, for a [i]legendary[/i] weapon thats still amazing! Hell Im even glad they are making this change, finally gives me a reason to use special ammo synths lol
