Vault of Glass Guide Part 1

VoG Guide Beginning- If you have a full team(6) have 2 of each member go to each of the Conflux tower control circles to guard. If the Minotaurs never touch the circles, it should only take about 1-2 minutes to build up and open the door. Inside: The Templar Room- Congrats! You made it past the children's playground. Now it is time for serious teamwork and communication. There are 3 challenges you must face in this room. The first is, Defend the Conflux, then, Destroy the Oracles, and finally, The Templar. Conflux defence!- The Best Strategy to this is pretty easy, especially if your team is calm, not yelling over everyone else, and not dying. There are 3 Confluxes, and 3 rounds. The first round is as easy as eating a nice watermelon. It's on the middle stairs of the base floor(Pretty hard not to miss). Prevent vex from going next to, and sacrificing themselves to the conflux. when a total of 5 sacrifice, the conflux makes a sound and shoots red pulses. You all die. Hopefully, this does not happen. WARNING!: Sometimes Vex insta-teleport onto the confluxes! It is always best to have a fast shooting shotgun to get rid of them quickly!(Preferably the Found Verdict, also gained in Templar room in VoG). As for Fanatics, do not touch them, do not walk in their gas. If you are next to one(in about close enough to give them a hug range) they explode, you die almost always. If you touch their gas circles, your screen goes green. And that Templar will eventually appear and use his Ritual. This ritual doesn't harm players unless they are covered in the fanatics farts(Yeah, I'm pretty sure those are farts, ew). Try to find high spots or hiding spots during the Harpy/Fanatic wave after the Conflux round is completed. Me and my team personally prefer to go to either the Hiding hole(We call it the bat cave) on the left side of the Room floor, or jump onto that high spot next to the bat cave on the left. You can either wait the round out, or if you and your team on confident, shoot and hope for some heavy ammo drops(or other ammo if you need that more) after a little time they all "POOF" disappear and now 2 Conflux appear on the left side and the right side of the floor! Conflux Round 2- There can be 2 different ways to do this. STRATEGY 1!-One is to have your lowest level player(if you all arent evenly leveled) go to where the first(middle) conflux was and shoot enemies spawning there to prevent them from getting behind allies(and making them drop the soap), while having 3 on the left, because the left side has a wider range around it and less coverage near it, plus the 2 spawns in front and the middle spawns creepin' up behind you(PLEASE DON'T DROP THE SOAP, IT DOESN'T FEEL GOOD AT ALL!), and having 2 on the right. Right side is a smaller range around the conflux and normally the middle(behind you in this case) enemies don't go to the right side, but there are 2 frontward spawns plus when the Templar appears to do his ritaul and shoot a bit, he can sometimes shoot you there. STRATEGY 2!- Two is to have 3 on left and right, have the highest levels, (and at least one Warlock if you got one with you) on the left side. the other 3 can party on easy right side. Left side: Have one player watch the middle spawn behind you guys to help prevent vex and fanatics from sneakin' up behind you while the other 2 are watching the 2 front spawns. Right Side: Have 2 players standing the the left of the right side conflux watching the stairway spawn and keep an eye on the back side just in case, while the other player stands on the right side of the conflux watching the cave spawn. Conflux Round 3: This round is the shortest, but can also feel like the hardest because all 3 on the Confluxes are up. The Vex spawn faster, Minotaurs spawn more, and a lot more fartin' vex(Fanatics) running around. The best Strategy is a mix of the 2 I mentioned before. Having the lowest level guarding middle Stairs conflux alone, having 3 of your highest leveled(again, at least one self reviving warlock prefered on left), and 2 on the right side. It makes this round very easy if played right. TIPS!- When Gased on by Fanatic fart graves, and if the Ritual kills you, you also lose all your Super Energy(Worst case for Warlocks). ALWAYS Avoid using a Titan Defender Bubble on or right next to the Conflux! It makes it very difficult to kill any enemys when inside it, or if they insta-teleport inside it and sacrifice. The Hunters GunSlinger subclass is best suited for the entire VoG Raid. In the Below middle where enemies spawn, you might notice a large circle of light. it can be used only a certain amount of times(normally an average of 2-4 times throughout the whole thing). This is what I like to call, "The light shower", it washes the gas off of you, you're cured! But make sure to never kill fanatics who are on top of the Shower, you can't see the gas in that blinding light. Also Gas traps do disappear after a certain amount of time, so don't worry about the map eventually becoming a giant hazard zone. Oracles: Oracles are glowing Yellow Lights(Later on in Atheon boss room, they are Red) that if not destroyed in time, will place the Green gas effect on the entire team, then our Good Ol' "Pal" Templar will pop up say hello, and use a ritual(*Mario death music plays* doo dee doo bummm). If you have any of the VoG weapons with the "Oracle Disruptor" Perk on them, killing Oracles is really quicks, otherwise, shotguns, Golden Gun, and weapons with a good clip size and DMG will do for now. There are 7 Oracle rounds, and to put a cherry on top of this big sundae...see those floating platforms around the base of the area that are to far to reach? Yeah, Hob Goblins spawn there 1 at a time, constantly, sometimes instantly after they die. That is always a problem, those darn Line Rifles. The best plan for this is to again, 1 player mid(level doesn't matter at this part), 3 left, and 2 right. Now I will show how many spawn each wave. Before it officially starts, the Oracles will all appear for a few seconds each making their musical PING sound and showing each spot they spawn. there are 3 on the left, 3 on the right, 1 in the middle. (Note that sometimes they appear in different spots on left in right if you were to die and start over, but almost always in the order listed below) Wave 1: 3 Oracles (Middle, Left, Right) Wave 2: 3 Oracles (Right, Right, Left) or (Right, Left, Left) Wave 3: 4 Oracles (Right, left, right, left, right) Or vice versa Wave 4: 5 Oracles (from this point on , its the same as wave 3, but either right multiple times or left , multiple times, then the opposite side) Wave 5: 6-7 Oracles (Same Random patterns a wave 4, but middle might spawn) Wave 6: 7-8 Oracles (there are a max or 7 spawns, this means an Oracle is going to spawn in one of those spots a 2nd time. Middle appears on this wave). Wave 7(Final!): 9 Oracles (same as Wave 6 notes, randomized, but middle will always be the 9th PING, lowest tone sound). Congrats! You get any weapons? Armor? Material? Good job! Now off to the Boss round! TIPS: Its good to have the team quiet and to only talk if they either die, or need help keeping up on the other side. Also is smart when if you have played this a lot, keep track of each tone sound of each oracle, learn what each sound is to each spawn. I can all them all by heart now, so I just tell my Friends/Team where to go.(I've played VoG over 200+ times, so, you tend to learn..eheheh..). Templar After you get rewards, you'll notice a Relic shield that has just spawned in the middle. Don't pick it up yet, that will start the boss round and he will come for you all. First take this perfect moment of silence for you and your team to take a 5 minute break or a Restroom break, get some water(or other drinks) or a snack or you have alrdy done the break to take time and read these next steps, Good job raider! Now is where you decide on who will be the Relic Holder, it would best if he/she were to read this part too, or you can just read it outloud to the team to hear(If they are all present and not talking a lot...tell them to SHHH and listen for a sec!) This is for you Relic holder!(Also my favorite role to be on this part) once you pick up the Relic...you guys see that small pillar in the middle just right up the steps where the shield spawns? Yeah, that one. Anywho, that is where our buddy Tempy spawns, he has a shield like the Hydras as you may have notices, but it fully covers him. how to hurt him? That is Relics time to shine! RELIC CONTROLS Gun fire Trigger: Shield Smash(op as heck btw) Melee button: Shield Slice(Really weak btw) Jump+Gun Fire Trigger=Smaller version of Titan Striker smash Jump+Melee button=slicing air(helps for flying away or to get places faster) Shield Super charge(Yes, this item has its own SUPER! WOOHOO!) Shoots a lazor bomb, does good DMG, and it kills our boss, Temply's impenetrable shield! Grenade Button: Cleansing- Remeber The Light Shower? The relic holder is a mobile version of that, it costs a tiny bit of super energy to use, but that is given back really fast since the relic increases super charge a bit. Ok, now before we start, here are the enemy spawns Harpies Minotaurs(They will only spawn if you take a really long time killing the boss, or if you keep preventing the boss from teleporting after his shield dies, we'll get to that in a moment) Oracles Out of writing room here on, click for for Part 2 https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/139203218
