Why the black hammer nerf?
I don't understand why black hammer's white nail perk is getting nerfed.... It's not like it was abused like the final round on snipers. Black hammer's white nail perk [b][u]MADE[/u][/b] black hammer THE best sniper for PvE. White nails' original perk should stay as it is and ammo not get taken out of reserve. Bump if you agree. I want bungie to realize the white nail perk nerf is a terrible idea.

3 RepliesAnyone who agree with OP is a terrible player. This was "abused" when you could kill a boss without losing a single sniper round. If anyone thinks that's balanced, please go get a brain scan.

There are like 2 bosses in the game where that's even kind of possible. What you do have to do, hit 3-6 crits and jump to cover to avoid death, then back out and hit 3-6 crits again. If it's going to take my reserve ammo, then I can just reload. Instead I'll use one of the many other snipers with a larger magazine, better stability, higher aim assist. BH was one of the few that actually requires skill to make using it worthwhile. The nerf will completely cripple it. It'll go straight to my vault because without white nail it's actually kind of a shitty sniper rifle all around.

1 ReplySheep. They said they made changes because of the community. Bungie realized weapons have been a failure since VOG. Especially exotic weapons. The Dark Below exotic weapons? Terrible. They marketed Nechrocasm with this expansion and were promptly embarrassed when nobody used it. The Dark Below legendary weapons? Liking that Black Hammer but that's it....doh HoW exotic weapons? Cute, but no. Prison weapons? shank burn anybody? Trials weapons? Nah When they allowed us to ascend our VOG weapons it surfaced how poor the weapons have been since. Fatebringer - yes, please. Vision of Confluence - yes, please. Found Verdict - yes, please. Praedyths Revenge - yes, please. Original exotics...gally and ice breaker...yes and yes. They need to devalue our favorite weapons to pump up the TTK weapons so everyone will buy the expansion. Don't think just because people cried and whined, they had a voice of influence. It's about the bottom line and the dollar bill

Black hammer is now worse than most of my snipers. I don't see any reason to use it now unless they increase reserve ammo and clip size for it

Endless shots is ridiculous the fact that if you hit critical shots now will give you 18 strait shots without reloading is still great

C'mon you got to agree. Before, the White Nail perk gave the BH a high teir exotic view to it. Having the perk pull reserve ammo seems fair enough.

After two major gun balances where Bungie looked at how guns performed in PvP AND PvE, how long will it take for people to realize that gun balance and abuse in PvE is important?

5 RepliesWait, i don't understand this nerf. 18 rounds, every 3 precision shots, the perk takes away 1 bullet from reserve which fully replenishes the magazine? If it works like that then its not really a nerf....

1 ReplyDidn't bungie say in the post that many thought of it as exotic... It's a legendary sniper, it still means you don't need to reload and can still probably kill most enemies/atheon/spider tanks with group dps with full special ammo.
