Perfect Balance, Send It, Field Scout, etc - all nerfed?
What about the choices we make defining our Legend? You're invalidating our choices retroactively! What good is it to choose between A over B if they can be changed underneath you, leaving you with the inferior choice?
So many other ways you could have encouraged folks to pick up new weapons - aesthetics being the easiest choice. Did you ever think about making them change color to match your armor shader? How about guns that sound more "pew pew" than "bang bang" ?
Instead of the carrot, once again you've chosen the stick.
I'm $#@! tired of the stick, Bungie.

It was probably Bungievisions plan to nerf all the weapons from the beginning.

4 RepliesIt is just absolutely unreal to me that people put up this much fuss like the current state of the crucible isn't awful. The only thing wrong with this update that's coming is that it wasn't two months ago, honestly. My wife tried to play crucible for two days on her lvl 16 Titan and was completely turned off from the game. She had only blue weapons and she's not a bad player. But literally every lobby was filled with thorns and last words with insta kills that left her wondering why she ever picked up pvp, though she does great at halo. Crucible needed an overhaul badly. The current state of the crucible makes the overwhelming majority if weapons irrelevant. Balance is something that takes time to create in games like this. All competitive games do it.

Don't forget the incoming blink nerf, cause pvp is all anymore.

Bungie will never take the time to read this they are laughing behind your back with money up their ass
-
OP doesn't understand how balance works. Nothing to see here.

The b8 is strong here

I'm pretty sure etheric light/exotic shards will be the last upgrade for year 1 weapons, and it will be less effective when the two DLCs after TTK drops. Not much of a surprise, really. They phase out old weapons/perks so the players would be forced to get with the new weapons.
-
2 RepliesReally? That's your whole idea? I don't care what the weapon looks like and neither do the enemies. If it's right for the job I'll use it even if it may look bad
-
2 RepliesWonderful. My beloved up for anything is nerfed. Really glad I hung onto it with its great perks. Even better all my vog weapons. I guess found verdict won't have max range because they're -blam!-ing hammerforged.

2 RepliesJust bought this new Lamborghini. It's fun to drive up here in Beverly Hills. You know what I'm more proud of? These 19 new bookcases I had installed to hold these 24,000 new books...

5 RepliesWhy y are they taking away our crutches u can't learn to use new weapons, wait what trigger again? Oh there all the same...........

I think they are more so trying to phase out the old weapons to bring in the new ones. Most games would do this by simply nt having the old weapons in the new games bt destiny cant really do that cuz they are just introducing dlc after dlc. N the neffs wont really matter in the old content cuz we all will be a higher light lvl. It all depends on how the new content will be n if the new gear and weapon will be better then the old stuff from the look of it they will be(suros pulse rifle). Bt the new perks is the bigger question.. the new perks now kinda suck... shank burn come bungie
-
5 RepliesThis is exactly what they want. They want you to buy the new DLC to get the better TTK weapons.
-
Yea I'm ok with 90% of the nerfs but they didn't need to kill our old weapons. With new guns we have to make tough choices, fine, with the old guns they are stuck how they are. By nerfing old perks and not allowing us to reroll they have effectively killed old guns because new guns will always have higher potential and people will reroll until they reach max potential. There is seriously no advantage at all of being a Day 1 or Year 1 player besides a vanity participation emblem.

Full explanation on the nerfs.

1 ReplyEdited by InfernalArtist3: 7/18/2015 5:12:23 PMI'm going to be forced to dismantle my old weapons due to being made useless. My TDYK and Shadow Price are being nerfed horribly due to this.

1 ReplyEdited by Silvercrys: 7/18/2015 1:36:04 PMCheck this out. (I'm a Scout Rifle man so I'm using them as an example.) Say Bungie has this really cool new Scout Rifle. "The Murderator". It has 20 rounds in a mag, is rerollable, Casket Mag bumps it up to 24 rounds. Same impact/RoF class as Vision of Confluence and Fang of Ir Yut. No burn. Oops. Because of Field Scout, it will never be as good as either of those weapons. Because it has no burn, it will never be adopted except by new players (until they get a VoC or Fang). Now, some of you are saying "Wait a minute, they shot themselves in the foot on this one. It isn't our fault they took Field Scout off of rerollable weapons". To which I say - I don't know about you, but I don't use any Scout Rifles without Field Scout. Even the awesome Trials one I have in Void damage. Because Field Scout is just that good. Bungie knows it, and doesn't want everyone to use the same perks on guns. (Most) perks should be a playstyle choice not "if the weapon doesn't have this perk it's trash". Hence the nerfs to Field Scout, Hammerforged, Rangefinder, etc. They're trying to promote diversity in weapon choice. They want the "carrot" to mean something without being a copy of what we already have.
-
Bungie... that is just plain mean and rude to ruin weapons that your fans actually like to play with. Ice breaker was already too slow on recharge now it's slower. Now i see why i don't play as much anymore. Forcing people to change their game plan on their weapons as opposed to the game itself. Bungie you have no shame.

4 RepliesWere you using dragon's breath on a boss? No?
-
1 ReplyYep! It should be about gun skills and not the perk. The perks are added bonuses IMO.
-
10 RepliesAdapt or die. Don't you get bored having such a limited choice in weapons?
