This is the Sandbox skybox's actual size, I'm pretty sure. (It's the blue part.)
Yea the idea was to give you the opportunity to build maps like Blackout(or as they said lockout) and guardian. I think it was a great idea since i very much enjoy both maps ^_^ I can't wait to see some of the skybox variants and to make a few myself!
They already have a ton of variants on the ground and in the sky, just look in the gallery.
I meant play on them = P only 11 more days.
Oh, yeah. I have no clue how long I have to wait since I probably won't spend $80 on the game even though I'll probably get the normal version. At least it's not multiple months away.

The grid acts as a floor for objects, but not people. You step on the grid, you die.
Posted by: AdmiredAcorn I made a psot about this before, with the same pic. the skybubble is about 3x as big as the ground level
i might be wrong but i dont think its as big as it seems. I think this is because its a birds eye view and the skybox is quite high up. This means the skybox is closer to the camera and seems bigger compared to the ground level which is much further away. I reckon they'll be roughly the same size [Edited on 02.20.2009 7:00 PM PST]

Just be sure not to let any thing else fall through, because it's a pain to find them on the ground.
thanks, I can't wait till march third, I guess your one of the lucky ones = P have fun with your "Sneak Peek" [Edited on 02.20.2009 6:55 PM PST]
Posted by: LiteLeaf I was wondering... how does everything float in the skybox? is their an invisible barrier for objects only?
Yeah there is, on one of the preview videos, a guy dropped a couple things onto the grid and, yes, they do float.
Posted by: Dr Steve That doesn't make any sense. How can the skybox be smaller than the rest of the map... Fail.
The actual ground area is the bright part. Go in the dark and you get blown up.
