Have you noticed severe lag and/or connection drops while playing recently and especially in PVP?
And its not because you or someone in the group has a bad network connection?
EDIT #1: Wow was not expecting this many votes. I'd appreciate it if you all could bump this post to the top so hopefully someone at bungie will notice.

the last Iron banner was horrible when it came to lag..normal PVP has seem laggy for me from day 1 and i think it has got worse

After 7pm is when all the connections start going to hell. During the morning and afternoon they're fine.

For me it's usually at night now, I start a few games and it's all good, I am green bar 100% of the time, then a few more matches and I start feeling laggy, my bar turns yellow and then red after a few more matches until the stress of dying due to the crappy connection makes me log off Destiny and try another game, of course I am lag free in every other game I try besides Destiny but of course Bungie will state there's a problem on my end. (I play wired by the way)

It's definitely been worse lately. I had a particularly bad match earlier today that I eventually got dropped from. I was just dropped from a PoE 34 run on the 3rd round. In no other game do I have this problem. Honestly, Bungie could have bailed out Greece with the money they made off us and they can even give us a stable game?

1 ReplyCrucible connectivity is terrible compared to how it used to be, it has literally only gotten worse. I've even had terrible lag in PoE recently but I'm pretty sure that was due to hosts internet since their mic was the only one affected whenever the desync happened. I consistently see laggy players in Destiny but have rarely seen them in other games, Destiny is the only game where I've come to expect desync to occur.

Could not keep playing it was so bad... First time for me... I'm pretty damn tolerant but it was more than I care to put up with.

Last two nights I've had great connections with constant weasel and baboon. Dropping mostly from Crucible and being reconnected maybe once out of ten times. Thought it might be my Time Warner internet (Ultimate High Speed Internet) but the same thing happened the same night to my friend in the Netherlands.. So yea.. Server issues I suppose.

5 RepliesBungie has to notice the frequent discussions that are similar to this post. They need to be decent and smart enought to at least address the problems and give solutions to the community. I'd be more understanding and patient if they did that instead of having them hide in the dark and avoid us. If I am going to keep "throwing money at the screen" then I deserve to hear explanations and solutions to issues. Where you at Deej?

Today while playing control in a laggy lobby I was golden gunned right as I was about to take C, had the capture point stuck on my screen (at 99%) for the next several minutes and nobody could capture C until it disappeared. Shores of Time I was able to get heavy twice for my MG out of the same box (went to get ammo, didn't register a pick up, did it again, mid way through the second attempt it finally registered but still let me get ammo again). Weird day of crucible.
