So I have a used and very old PS3 controller and the L3 button is almost completely unresponsive and the left joystick as well. I've had to adjust the controls in any game with L3 sprint. It's hurting my hands and I need a replacement pretty bad. So are there any 3rd party controllers for $30 or less that are as good as Sony's or should I just get a Sony one?

1 ReplyI haven't had much luck with 3rd party controllers under that price as they break easily. If you can save up for a proper Sony controller or find one cheap then do that.

3 RepliesI've gotten several sony controllers on ebay and not had issues. Much cheaper. Just check the seller feedback.

2 RepliesI'd go with the Sony controller, or if you go third party go corded over wireless. They have USB corded 3rd party controllers. All my ps3 controllers are sony. I have a 360 corded controller that is green made by rock candy which works fine.

Can't go wrong with a Sony one, wouldn't bother with anything else.
