First of all, let me say congratulations to Cozmo on becoming a new community manager. It will be nice to have you around!
But, when I heard of Cozmo getting a community manager position, I instantly thought, "Well, what about Deej?".
You guys all might think that I'm kissing ass, but Deej really does a lot for the community. He listens to our input and takes it to the team and Bungie. He can't make everyone happy but they really do sit down and analyze all of the stuff we have to say and try to make this game better for us. Deej just happens to get caught right in the middle and takes a few shots just for being the middle man.
I like to think of myself as a straightforward person. I feel Deej is genuine in everything he does. He means good and has a bright passion for the game, as do all of us. He doesn't deserve a lot of the crap the community gives him.
So I, for one, am happy that Deej is staying put at Community Manager. Thanks for everything you do. You do an awesome job, in my opinion.
WE ARE TRENDING!
Let's get this to Deej! Show him some love!

What? He barely even plays destiny, has one 32 warlock, and is basically non-existent on the forums. You are the desticle of desticles
-
You guys are idiots.. All of you..

3 RepliesHoly Desticle.. You don't know what Deej does daily and it sure as he'll isn't monitor these forums or interact with the community. Deej makes stuff up about his job to explain away his abscence from these very forums he is supposed to be managing. What do you honestly think his position is required to do? He has zero technical abilities, he sucks at this game and he rarely interacts with the community. He doesn't help the devs he doesn't help us. He doesn't sit in on meetings to make technical decisions at most he sits in the back and listens in but beyond that he has no authority or skills to affect change on any level with this game. The new guy is the same deal. They grabbed a forum junkie cause they knew he would be more seen on these forums. The guy plays rarely and when he does its all PVP across his 3 identical hunters - not even close to a representation of a positive active community player. Bungle makes bad decisions. This is just another example.

6 RepliesDeej dealt with the year one community, the good the bad the ugly, he deserves a round of applause it is no easy task.
-
4 RepliesI don't understand why you would think of him. Do you have a personal relationship with him? Do you know him outside of his assumed bungie personality? Are you friends? I mean, Deej doesn't care about me either way. He likely doesn't know either of us exist. As a community manager I'm neutral as to his performance. Some people may think he's the bomb. To me he has almost zero impact on my gaming experience.

1 ReplyBungie community is growing quite large and with a ever evolving game, tracking community feedback is a daunting task, especially when when it comes to interaction. I think it's great that we have 1 more person listening who can act on our behalf.
-
1 ReplyYou know what, I do not agree with everything that bungie does or decides, and I do not love every single part of this game the same amount. But I still think that DeeJ has a pretty hard job and I think considering what he has to put up with he is doing a pretty good job. I am not going to worship the guy or put him on some kind of pedestal, he has his job, I have mine. His job affects me because my hobby is connected to his job. My job does not affect him at all. I have respect for him and I think he is a cool dude. I hope that the decision to bring Cozmo aboard was just done to deal with the growing community and the growing unrest in said community. I can only say, keep it up guys. This forum can be a hive of scum and villany but even diamonds start as coal ;) DeeJ, Cozmo, hope to hear from you guys soon.

1 ReplyWhile I can't speak for sure... Deej doesn't have 1 34, hasn't beaten a hard raid and rarely posts. So... I dunno what to actually think about him. For all we know the weekly updates are posted by him and written by Bungie PR? My guess on Cozmo is he is Dee's lacky to post to all us morons to show us they are listening. And more power to him, I'm just saying.

3 RepliesI wanna know why this new guy hasnt said anything here on the forums yet. I would want to try out my new bungie tag and introduce myself to the community that i would now be managing. Taking an hour or two to answer questions, help people get to know me, show that i actually play destiny and know what the hell im talking about and what-not. And yet he is silent.

Deej is a cool dude. I like him and admire his passion. It's unfortunate that he takes so much crap, because he does care about the Destiny community. That being said, I'm happy they've brought in a second person. Should be good :)

1 ReplyEdited by bLooM_pHaZe: 7/16/2015 2:37:21 AMYeah have to agree there man, although I do not know him on any level other than what is publicly presented, my assumption has always been a positive one of him, so I would assume he is a fairly stand-up kinda bloke. However, in saying that, just a 1 man show may have always been both tricky and difficult so I would assume that they would need more than not only 1, but perhaps many - say 4 to 6; of such managers all focusing on specific aspects of the game.

2 Repliesyour thread doesnt even have over 2k replies not really trending

5 RepliesI will say it again, why do we need a manager when we have Mods? The update gets put out, it's not as if these managers do anything else. So why do they exist, seems like a pointless job.
-
6 RepliesNo, he does not, unfortunately, when he took the job as community manager that came with a big ole bullseye on his shirt. I don't blame him for how he does his job, the people who sign his checks are the ones telling him what he can and cannot say in the weekly reports and on this forum. People are going to find the easiest target and that was him. Now, with Cozmo being a community manager also, people will now have 2 targets to yell and scream at. It's a catch 22 damned if you do/damned if you don't situation for both of them.
