Sunsinger warlocks using the Ram helmet
Just curious, I typically run void in normal Crucible and sunsinger for Trials, so am always looking for ways to improve. I've noticed a few sunsingers recently rocking the Ram, with varying degrees of success. The signature lifesteal ability only works for voidwalkers, is the bonus armor really enough to justify this taking up your exotic armor slot?

Edited by FullSpe3D: 7/15/2015 7:29:40 PMThe extra armour is by far the best part about the helmet. Lifesteal is simply a small added bonus if you choose to play Void. Using The Ram on a Sunsinger makes perfect sense.

I will use it all day long just because of the look of it. Best looking exotic armor of the game

The Ram allows you to survive getting two-shotted by Thorn, which automatically makes it one of the best exotics in the game just for that factor alone.

I used to think that ram sunsingers was rediculous. However if you insist on playing as a sunsinger it does make sense. The other normal PVP sunsinger exotics just aren't that great; purifier robes, HoPF, claws of A are all ok but just ok. For trials I like light beyond nemesis but for 6v6 I can totally see why you would use the ram. The extra armor IMO is basically as good as the perks you could get from other exotics while playing as a sunsinger. Thus the reason I like voidwalker in 6v6; voidfang, nothing manicles, and the ram are all sick.

I love it for the extra survivability. Warlocks are too squishy and slow for my liking.

2 RepliesAlso keep in mind a lot of players aren't oldschool day 1 destiny players, and maybe that Exotic Helmet combined with the gear they have is the only possible combination they currently have to be level 34. And they just wanted to rock Sunsinger for awhile. Or yeah like others said the armor boost is impressive, you just don't get lifesteal. Which in all honesty I think for me is the coolest part about the helmet. Voidwalker with infinite lifesteal on EVERY melee, not even a melee kill required? Fu$& Yeah invincible Voidwalker Warlock!

There isn't another piece of gear in the game that offers an armor boost...it's worth it.

its good enough to survive 2 thorn headshots and titan shoulder charge And on radiance you can survive 1 golden gun...What more can you ask from it?
