What it really comes down to is fan boys. Most gamers with a brain would choose Spartans because Halo was a better franchise and made you feel like you were part of what was going on. And halo had a kick ass story without having to read the books. Now destiny on the other hand is a mediocre game at best. Yes it's fun but for the most part boring. The story isn't captivating enough from the game for most gamers to bother reading those stupid grimore cards. It's like comparing a Dodge Neon SRT4 to a Supercar. The Neon is fun to do stupid shit with but we'll always go running back to that sweet ass Supercar. Destiny just feels like it's lacking so much story from the game and hardly anyone even bothers playing the story with their 2nd or 3rd characters. While Halo you could play that story over and over and never get bored.
