Praedyth's Revenge is a Terrible PvP Sniper
I have heard many people say that Praedyth's is a good sniper. I even see it a lot in Trials, but now that I have it, I realize it is a TERRIBLE PvP sniper. A sniper built around the idea of you getting two body-shots is outclassed by a mid-high impact sniper.
Speaking of mid-high impact snipers, Shadow of Veils is the biggest troll weapon ever lol. You don't even have to be close for it to register as a headshot. How this made it past testing at Bungie is beyond me.
Edit: should have been more clear. I really only care about Trials as any weapon can be effective in regular crucible.
Edit #2. If I see people spawn into a Trials match with Praedyth's equipped, I automatically know that I am going to win the initial snipe battle with ease. I just hear so many people say how amazing it is, but I just don't see it.

It's not the sniper it's the user. All the time in trials I run into top tier snipers but horrible players. I mean seriously it's like free pickings from the good snipers. But I guess what I'm trying to say it praedyths is a good weapon for new snipers as it's more forgiving but better snipers usually use mid rate of fire high damage snipers for those talented with head shots Excuse my grammer

I know! Why not just use a Violator with hidden hand and hand laid stock? It's a praedyths with hidden hand. If you miss the headshot just shoot em again.

The idea of a high rate of fire gun is so that if you miss the first head shot you can fire off a second faster than with a low rate of fire sniper.

13 RepliesBoth it an benevolence are bad. Same with most HoW snipers that have 0 impact. And before people lose their shit about benevolence, the only thing good remotely about it, is the ability to get hidden hand. Otherwise, if you compare stats, it's a rip off longbow synthesis.

Nah, you can talk about aim assist or whatever else all you want, but it doesn't matter that much if you are actually able to use your thumbs to aim. I don't normally use praedyths, but my teammates do, I guarantee you don't win the initial "snipe battle" with them just because of your high impact sniper with high aim assist. At the end of the day they're both 1 shot to the head and 2 shot to the body (except off revives of course, then praedyths doesn't OSK), 95% of the time the person with better aim wins, not the person with the most aim assist. People can keep circle jerkin to the aim assist stat, but at the end of the day if you are less skilled than the other player, you're most likely going to lose

It's great for non-revive game modes. It can be very effective in trials as well if you have a teammate with a high impact sniper to be on revive duty. In trials, however, I've found shotguns to be the way to go with most teams I play with. If your teammates are rushing after a kill, it makes sense to rush with them.

2 RepliesIt's my fav sniper give it some time you'll like it. I only ever use it in trials it's fire rate is so good you out gun nearly every sniper if you both fail the headshot. I very rarely fail the headshot. I'd like to compare it to ldr5001 but I've not ever had it drop.
