Will Halo Reach have a Vertical Split-Screen Option?

I need to know if we'll have an option to go vertical or horizontal. In Halo 3, when using split-screen mode, it's like half the screen space is wasted by these black bars on the sides.
Yes, I know the black bars are on the side to keep aspect ratio. But can SOMEONE answer me?

Aspect ratio, Field of view, Widescreen TV. it really is better as a horizontal split. natural human FOV is about 120 degrees from side to side. anything less and situational awareness takes a severe hit.
