Hi All
I've done some searching around the net and on youtube and even though i see a lot of videos on people using ER in PvP it's never really been made clear what kind of effect it does to people who are being hit and iff it puts players aim off. I've played a fair bit of PvP but it's very rare to even come up against anyone who is using ER.
So my question is does anyone have any footage of what impact it does when you are hit by say a fatebringer with ER or at least are able to say what testing they did on the impact and also is it worth it in PvP.

Deals the same damage regardless of precision or bodyshots, give or take 1 damage point due to rounding. It flinches your enemies more as well, but less than high calibre rounds. Hitting enemies begins cover us so rare that it's pretty much a non-factor So it's essentially a lousier high calibre rounds as far as pvp is concerned.

It does 1 extra damage and supposedly staggers but I have yet to prove this. In general, not much

1 ReplyI often use fatebringer in crucible just for a change. ER do register on the same target as well as nearby targets. It does about 57 + 23 ER damage if u get a precision shot (Roughly, cant remember exact). What i like best about ER is the fact u can deal pretty much the same damage, but with the bonus of being able to flinch the target as well as catch them while they try hiding/escaping by hitting the ground/walls.

Played against someone with expolsive rounds on an salvation state I believe and it was pretty annoying. It put my aim completly off. Not sure if it is helpful on an HC though.

i remember back in the day it seemed to really rock my screen when hit with ER in crucible, but they seemed to have changed it, now its not such a dramatic effect as it used to be :(

It used to do immense stagger and screen shake but that was nerfed. High caliber rounds are the way to go now for screen shake.

If you hit them with a crit it does 2, 25s but that's with fatebringer

Edited by Void: 7/14/2015 1:23:13 PMI don't have footage but I personally find it extremely annoying when I'm being hit by explosive rounds. Especially from fast firing scout rifles, the flinch is unreal.

5 Repliesi did find this link https://www.bungie.net/ru/Forum/Post/87041636/0/0 that had some explanations at least for PvE but i can't seem to find a full video or perhaps any explanation using it in PvP. I'll keep searching but i guess i might just have to test it as i currently have The Fulcrum with a roll of ER, Final Round and Luck in the Chamber and i can't decide if i should use ER or Armour Piercing Rounds

I have more. I just found this link https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/108481133/0/0 and if it's correct then ER do pretty much the damage overall just on different parts. My next thing i need to found out is what kind of splash damage effect it actually has on players in a PvP fight and if it's of any benefit to the person with ER.

2 RepliesWell we were screwing around with guns in poe and a fatebringer with explosive perks hit for something like 740 on the big servitor boss and six dreg hit for a little over 1k. It says on the gun that it deals a portion of the weapons damage as explosive...so id guess that in pvp it would reduce the damage taken but aoe your teamates with the explosive damage. Some testing would be needed to see if both the shot and the explosion register on the same target
