I haven't even attempted the 35 because people were saying it takes 5-7hrs. Is this really the time frame? Honestly how long do you really need from start to finish on an average run?
# finally did it! Took approximately 2hrs with Max weapons and 34 light.

Depends on perks
-
Before they nerfed it, yeah 3 hours minimum. Now it's like 45+ minutes.
-
You can do it. It can take a while to get to the Skolas round but if you have an experienced team you'll be ok. There are lots of guides around.
-
I beat it twice
-
Its fun and easy
-
Last run took 33 mins
-
My last run took around 58 minutes trough the thing i believe we wiped once on round 4 due to a small mistake.

5 RepliesIt's fairly simple. You just need some communication and a simple yet effective strategy.
-
1 hour. It's pretty easy with a good Team. Did it the first time today.
-
It depends on your team. The modifiers in effect that week also have an impact. Find people you play well with. Once you do that, you can tackle about anything the game will throw at you.
-
I did it in like 49 mins this morning
-
Only did it once since they nerfed/buffed Skolas. Took an hour and twenty minutes.

Not hard

1 ReplyEdited by kensai_zen: 7/14/2015 2:02:29 PMFastest time so far. 1 hour. Getting to skolas is 30 minutes. Killing skolas with no wipes is 30 minutes. Clear adds. Hit skolas. Adds spawn. Clear adds. Hit skolas. Adds spawn. The trick with poison is to pass at 10 seconds. Doing it this way means that when the first players immunity has cleared. The third players poison is at 10 seconds. This means you can play without mic and still pass the poison just by keeping track of your own timer. The mines can be tricky if uncoordinated. Player passes the poison and runs to the other side of map. Other two stay on one side for mine to spawn. If mine spawns at centre. The two can dismantle it. This buys well enough time for the team to not get killed by the poison. Whislt having players in a position to dismantle mines as they spawn before adds are in a position to be a threat. Once the strategy sinks in. It pretty much becomes a walk in the park. The weakness of the game mechanics is that the same mobs spawn at the same location at the same intervals. Once you memorise the pattern it becomes like playing a strike. They really should have used a random location spawn mechanic. But then again this game is designed for casuals. Also much credit goes to the 2 players I usually play with for skolas. Their team work is amazingly good.

1-2 hrs. Skolas isnt that bad if your team knows what they're doing and passing the poison every 20-25 seconds. Last week had a team do it and only wiped on him once. The whole thing(round1-6) took 1:58 I think it was. Skolas him self takes about 30 min.
-
It's easy
-
It's easier than what they say, the shortest I had was 1 hour and the longest was 2 but I was helping other that didn't know what they were doing
-
Oh my freaking goodness!!!!!!! Sir, if you have a coordinated fireteam, and you know what to expect, it will take you 1-2 hours AT MOST
-
Edited by Altron: 7/14/2015 4:21:01 PMIt's not as hard as you'd think. Especially this week. The modifiers are pretty decent. You should definitely give it a try this week. It shouldn't take more than like an hour or so. We beat the entire thing in roughly an hour earlier. If your fireteam is having to wipe constantly on Skolas, find another team and try again for better players. I've helped tons of people beat Skolas, and it's really not as hard as people make it out to be, unless you have a bad team
-
Beat it this past week with a guy I never played with before, a friend with no mic, no Titans(2 Hunters), and almost no communication outside of poison timer reminders. Took awhile, wiped quite a few times, but ultimately the fight isn't too hard. You need to be conservative and play it safe. It will only take longer if you're too aggressive because you'll end up wiping.
-
Takes a while. The most I spent on it is 5 hours but that was my first time. Now takes like a little over an hour
-
Edited by messisan321: 7/14/2015 3:37:48 PMEasy.
-
Edited by NicccK97: 7/14/2015 3:36:00 PMI've finished it from a fresh start to the end in less than one hour, and i've been stuck at skolas for 5 hours another time. It's all about the modifier, and knowing about the mechanics of the Skolas fight.
-
My friends and I just finished it for the first time a couple days ago. It took us a little under four hours total, with about an hour and a half on the skolas fight. But with that said, now that we've done it, I'm sure we could probably cut that time down a lot.

1 ReplyIt takes 35-45 minutes to get to round 6 if you make it without a wipe. Not hard at all if you have a titan, warlock and hunter. Bubbles for trouble, invis for mines, revive if it gets hairy. The Skolas level is another animal. You almost need those diversified classes or you need not do well. The modifiers are the killer here because of the level advantage. Lightswitch makes it a Nightfall basically. Angry isn't much better. Brawler was the best week but it was the IB week so no one was doing it that week. Once you get a good taint rotation going, you need to hope for a kind mine spawn or it could all be ruined real quick.
