That huge white sphere..?
Ya know, that's just sitting there idle. Today I thought, why hasn't the fallen or another race just nuked it..? And if the traveler has the power through ghosts to resurrect the dead, this thing should never be losing fights. Thoughts..?

Well the Fallen think it was a god at one point, which inspired their creation of Servitors. Hive want to feed on light which if the Traveler goes somewhere else, it can make more light elsewhere to be eaten. Which would explain hostilities between Hive and Fallen. Cabal are to busy fighting Oryx and running from something or him. Vex just want to wipe everything else from existing.

9 RepliesThe fallen didnt nuke it because they want to be rescued by the traveler. The hive didnt nuke it because they want to feed on light and see the traveler travel to another destination and feed on more light. Cabals are dumb. Enough said. I am not sure about the vex... maybe they are just not interested. But what i also dont get is why the traveler can loose. He or it or whatever could just revive anything. And if i had the power of terraforming, i could probably think of a weapon to erase all my enemies. But hey this is destiny. Shut up, throw money at the screen and grind for your ghorn.

8 RepliesHere's the thing; The traveller(Alpha Lupi), as I understand it, is an asshole. She's being chased by the Darkness and she visits planets and places, gives a race powers, has them fight the darkness, and then turns tail when it's clear they're going to lose. It happened with the Fallen, they were given the Light long ago but their god, the traveller, bailed. When the Darkness caught up with her in our home base, Rasputin was the first line of defense. He basically said "nah this is clearly not going to work, I'm going to hibernate and stop defending everyone instead of buying the Traveller time to escape." So, the Traveller had no choice but to fight back and it ended with billions dead and her going dark. I forget the rest of the post. But Rasputin singlehandedly saved us.

The Fallen want it back, not to destroy it. The Hive want to consume it and it's light, and you can't do that if you destroy it. The Cabal are just Vogons with Armor, who knows why they do anything. They all want the traveller, the problem is this pesky little defense system called Guardians. That's who they want to destroy, not the traveller.

Shielding itself? We dont know but fallen didn't nuke it because it was their 'great machine' they want to retrive it. And hive just want to eat every light. And vex..we don't know and cabal is also we don't know

Cabal are just scared. They're running from Oryx As for losing a fight. I think the Darkness basically did its version of a nuke. Traveller countered with its own nuke so yeah. That's why it "lost"

3 RepliesWell first off, the fallen used to have the traveler like we do, before an event called "the whirlwind", which it left them. They believe we're hoarding the traveler selfishly, but potentially the 2 races could work together one day. As for the power of the traveler, it is greatly diminished, and the enemies of the darkness are already taking more of its power, like in the mission on the moon where the hive were corrupting the shard of the traveler. It's powers are limited
