I'm new to destiny and I don't know which is the most important

I run Intellect and Discipline builds for my play style.

Sorry in advance for the long post :-P The build depends on your playstyle. For PvP ALWAYS go with Intellect and Discipline. You don't need strength. The follwing is for PvE. Let's start with a Warlock Sunsinger. If you're a gung ho no holds barred player, you're better off with max intellect and strength. Intellect so that you have your self res up asap and strength because the flame shield gives an added amount of protection. If you like to take it slow, camp and take enemies down bit by bit it's better to go intellect and discipline. Because you won't get close enough for a melee therefore strength is useless. One other variable is the modifier. If it's angry and epic, enemies will rush you, use disciple and intellect. Solar grenades are great for suppressing enemy advance and pushes them back. Great for players who like to stay back (camp) and engage in hide and seek kind of a fight. Voidwalker grenades, in my opinion are very weak. I always set my voidwalker with max strength and intellect. With the right setup (i don't exactly remember right now), your melee triggers energy drain effect and it charges your super faster. You have to set it up this way. I can also give you a lowdown on the Titan and Hunter too if you want :)
-
You generally want to specialise in discipline and intellect.
-
You are a warlock so intellect 100%, 50/50 strength discipline on void walkers. For sunsingers you need 100% discipline. Then I would go 50/50 on intellect and strength. Do all you can to get a helm with the inverse shadow perk as it gives you about 33% more super energy per kill. At the end of the day it's to fit your play style.

Intellect and discipline

Depends on class. I always use max intellect and discipline for my hunter. Considering their supers can wipe out close to an entire team. And use that helmet that gives an extra shot. Getting more super energy from OP tripmine kills from that helmet too. Super is up quite often.
-
For my striker i run 100% INT/DISC. I got shoulder charge so i dont need str
-
On Blade Dancer go Intellect, Discipline. Blade dancer has a perk that recharges your Melee every 5 seconds so boosting strength is a total waste.
-
Based on the class, you'd like to focus on: Hunter: Intellect and Strength Warlock: Discipline and Strength Titan: Intellect and Discipline
-
If youre sunsinger then strength and discipline is key. Other than that discipline and intellect should be balanced.

1 ReplyWarlocks are by far the best grenade class so they should always have high discipline. My build let's me generate super energy through grenade kills so I can see strength or intelligence being secondary pending your playstyle. Hunters have great melees and effects to take advantage of so they should always have high strength. Their grenades are a little less useful but supers are really effective in pvp so I usually focus on intelligence secondly. Titans lightning grenades are great so year discipline if you run those. Intellect is also important for strikers to get off lots of fohs. I can't decide what the best way to build a defender is.
-
I balance it, but intellect comes first.

intellect strength for the win

All depends on your play style.
-
Discipline > intellect > strength. Using a super is situational while grenades always help.
-
I'd say it depends on your play style. Having grenades on hand is always great, same with a melee recharged for those close encounter but if your a mid to long distant player melee is wasn't we on you. Since you'll most like just use grenades from afar and only time you may go in close quarters is for a super. If your the shot gunning type, melee is pretty important, since if you miss or they don't fall from first shot, it's quicker to pop them once with a melee than shoot again.

I have a warlock with an int/dis setup and a dis/strength build. Those work well with the gear
-
3 RepliesOn my hunter I have 100% int and 100% discipline
-
4 RepliesHunter: Intellect & Discipline Titan: Intellect & Discipline Warlock: Discipline & Strength There are a ton of different builds that use different stats, but in general, these are best for each class in my opinion.

For pvp I find intellect is what really matters. If you can get intellect at 70% or above then you're doing good. Next, and very close on that list, is discipline. This is mainly because I chuck a lot of grenades. And lastly strength. This is where your armor comes into play though. If you've got armor that grants you a grenade after every death, then discipline may not be as important to you anymore. If you've got armor that gives you melee energy from grenade kills then a max intellect and discipline with 0 strength may be what you want, so you can spam grenades and still charge your strength up too. It depends on your play style and armor set ups.
-
Mostly Intellect and Discipline, but with the new subclass for Hunters in The Taken King I might recommend a balance of the three, but leaning towards Intellect as that is still important.

Edited by Freyja-1: 7/12/2015 2:08:52 PMI typically run Sunsinger. I tend to go 0% intellect and 100% discipline and strength. I rarely use radiance, so I have no reason to invest in intellct. Also, radiance is far more effective on the rare occasion I do use it because of my character's high discipline and strength.
-
Depends where you're going. Look at what it gives you and decide what is most appropriate for the task ahead. Sometimes I want loads of intellect, sometimes I don't need it because I'm palling up with a friend who makes orbs at an obscene rate.
-
I like an 80%-60%-60% spread for my crucible loadout (those are rough numbers, but you get the idea :P) It means I get good general recovery for all my abilities with a slight boost to my super. For PvE though I run as much intellect and discipline as possible, usually 100% int with as high discipline as I can manage.
-
I see you're a warlock. I'd actually go against the stream and say Discipline and Strenght. (PvE built, for PvP i'd go with intellect and discipline) And use a helmet (like the VoG helmet that gives more super energy from killing PvE enemies. That way you'll get your super back pretty quick, get a lot of grenades. And if you're using the Sunsinger subclass, go with flame shield. It's always good to have extra shields. This way you get each of them pretty fast. Balanced and good!
