This is how it is in virtually every game. Protest the industry of gaming if you don't like it.
I can look up every game currently on PS4, PS3, Xbox one, and Xbox 360, and not find a game that does this. I can buy destiny, the first 2 expansions, and the newest DLC, all for the same price of a new copy of destiny. The only thing that is similar but still not the same would be "game of the year" versions. Game of the year versions include DLC, but never brand new DLC. Even if you look at WoW, Or FF14, you cannot buy the base game, and the brand new DLC, for the price of the base game. This was only an option several months after the DLC was released. So, to answer your question, you are a Desticle because you falsely claim that "all games do this" when they do not, strictly to defend Destiny against negative criticism. It's a symptom of fandom, kind of like the whole console wars thing. You defend what you invested time and money into, regardless of the validity of the points you try to make.

Depreciation. Star Wars Battlefront was $40 when it came out. It's now $1.99. Killzone Shadowfall was $60 when it came out. It is now $30. Injustice: Gods Among us was $60 when it came out. You can now get the game along with a couple of DLC's for the same price if not slightly cheaper. Hell, Xbox One's cost...what $500-$600 dollars when it came out? Now it's $400. Every game depreciates. And over the course of a year, it doesn't make sense to keep a game at $59.99. Bad for business. So, to get newcomers in, they opted to throw in DLC's with the game and keep it at that price because the game had depreciated. GOTY editions of games do the exact same thing. It's part of the gaming industry, I'm not defending Bungie because I love their product (such is the definition of a so called "Desticle"), this is actually the first Bungie product I've purchased and I've expressed my discontent with it on a number of occasions, namely their dead ear to the community and the ongoing weapon balance issues. My comment was simply pointing out that Bungie is following in the footsteps of other companies and a villianization of them in this sense is unfair. Because in 6 years, you will be able to catch up because that's the common business practice. I'm far from a Desticle, fanboy, or anything of that nature when it comes to Destiny or Bungie because I have little ties with either. Now, I'm simply expecting you to call me a Desticle again. Give no intelligent response and make me slightly disappointed at the state of human beings in today's society. But it will make me confident in my children's survival because I know they will be at the top of the gene pool.

  •
This is how it is in virtually every game. Protest the industry of gaming if you don't like it.
^proceeds to point out various instances that are clearly different than the ways Destiny is being handled. The only redeemable rebuttal would have been naming a game, which has a brand new $40 DLC, that sells it, along with a GOTY version (all previous DLC's) for the original cost of the vanilla game. I'm not referring to a game that is bundling it's old DLC with the vanilla for $60, I'm referring to a game that is bundling the original game, all previous DLC's, and a brand new $40 DLC, for the cost of the vanilla game. Good luck Desticle, god speed.
