UNSC vs UESC whats the difference?
i saw on the marathon avatar pic it has UESC. i know what the UNSC is but what is UESC

UESC in Halo 2 was just either an easter egg, or it was just using the same acronym for something existing in the Halo universe. But, as far as I know, this it is- UESC = United Earth Space Council The UESC is the Space Council of the Marathon Universe. UNSC = United Nations Space Command The UNSC is the Space Command of the Halo Universe. The UNSC is the space command for not just earth, but all human colonies, save the Rebels. The UESC is the space council of only Earth I beleive, I am not sure if humans have created colonies on other planets in the Marathon Universe.

No, the UNSC and UESC are not the same entity, nor did one precede the other because [b]they are not in the same game universe[/b]. The old post was meant to show you why they cannot possibly be the same organization. They share similar purposes, but saying they are the same is like saying the Flood and the Aliens from the movie "Alien" are the same thing.

It has nothing to do with marathon, just like in real life the UNSC is the United Nations Security Council, doesnt mean Halo exists in real life. Either its just an easter egg like reference, or they are using the acronym to represent something in the halo universe.

The UNSC is from the Halo Universe. The UESC is from the Marathon Universe UNSC=United Nations Space Command UESC=United Earth Space Command ??

The United Earth Space Corps [i]is[/i] mentioned in the Halo 2 opening cutscene (or more specifically, the one right after) so we know it does exist in the Halo Universe, we just don't know what it is or if it is higher or lower in the hierarchy than the UNSC.
