I have the afterglow from my PS3 wired to PS4 controller ( so sadly you can't use the separate volume controls for voice chat and game audio on PS4 , and you cant use the 3 different settings of Bass, Normal or Acoustic ) But they still sound Great , Game audio and Voice audio both are very crisp and clear , and never have problems with the Mic everyone can hear me fine in any game i play from FFXIV to Battlefield to Destiny , in PS chat or In-game chat I don't know about the new Version they have for PS4 , you have to look up some reviews on it . ( but they look exactly the same as the afterglow i have and i think the new ones have Dolby sound, but not sure ) I will say that their Customer support is Great , the headset came with the wire for the controller ( I bought it for ps3 a few years earlier ) , mine broke when i accidentally forgot it was plugged into ps4 controller ,, i called the support and told them the wire broke and they didn't even ask for a receipt number just asked what headset it was, the guy told me they will send me a replacement wire and it arrived in a couple days and they sent me 2 extra wires , all free of charge . ( headset is at-least 3 years old, maybe 4 so definitely out of warranty and still all free ) when i bought them originally for the Ps3 i had to call them for a ps3 VGA cable, they sent that out also free of charge .
