Messenger, Hopscotch Pilgrim, Scholar, Vision of Confluence, Hawkmoon, Fatebringer or Word of Crota.

Messenger and pilgrim are the only two worth mentioning. Thorn is dirty at range also and two hits nearly everything - regardless of armour. Play a skilled player with thorn. There aren't that many competence choices.

You have the option of using skill and superior gunplay to win battles.

You haven't played trials lately. Have you? Superior skill only goes so far when the other player is also good.

I will not argue that sometimes you do run into a player with skill (and an OP gun), but rather that it is entirely possible to do good without resorting to such means of gameplay.

That's the problem and yes I have written posts based on the fact there are only two major competition guns. They are both in the hand gun class which is kind of annoying. I only play crucible with non exotic hand guns now, but for trials winning 9-0 without them is to tough.

What are you talking about? The last word has one of the worst ranges. Unless your already weakened, your standing still and the other guy can aim. Research your thoughts before you post.

True, but I believe that every player has the capability of using skill over OP weapons. Everyone should be better than having to stoop low enough to use those guns. One less OP gun is one more enemy that I don't mind facing, or one more teammate that I respect. Sure other guns kill faster and don't require much effort, but you could easily have more fun with an Auto Rifle, or Pulse Rifles. The game is there to have fun, not to play a stale PvP mode. Make the difference and use something to mix up things for more enjoyment.

I agree. I am trying hard not to use my thorn haha i kinda wish that they had a game type without exotic weapons

Bump. Custom game types. with or without heavy/super/exotics would be great options to have. I would love to see a level playing field and which weapons dominated.

Everyone does. It would be nice. But sadly people would just use other OP Legendaries such as Messenger and Felwinters (clones included).

Yeah man i have had success running with sidearms and auto rifles. The key is knowing when to run from them and when to put it all in their mouth my friend. I dont have a thorn but i have TLW but i dont like using it. Rather kill ppl wit weapons they ain got no business dying by lol.

Exactly, show them that even though they have to use OP weapons, doesn't mean they can't die by weapons that take more effort.
