So I miss playing online.
I moved from the city recently
My question is
Is 1.5Mb fast enough with a 400Kbps upload?

Yeah but crucible will be a nightmare.
-
1 ReplyYes but the downloads that destiny has sometimes will take a while
-
2 RepliesIn my area, most people have that connection speed with sky. It will work fine. Just don't expect to download the doc in a timely fashion.
-
I seem to play against people on dial-up, and they do just fine.
-
That's plenty as long as someone else is host. Every once in a while the game will select you as host because the net code sucks and the game will be unplayable. Otherwise you'll be fine.
-
1 ReplyIt's fine. PvP will show you at a red bar, but you won't be lagging if your ping is fine.
-
1 ReplyMy friend had 1 mb and hardly ever lagged even in pvp. I'd give it it a few tries to see what you think
-
25mb and 7mb upload
-
5 RepliesHow do you actually check your ping on destiny through an xbox one? I have the same internet speed and am curious.
-
1 ReplyI've played destiny with a connection half that speed and could still raid. Granted I had to do everything I could to cut down my bandwidth. 1.5 should be fine.
-
PvE yes, but I don't think your experience in pvp will be that smooth :/
-
Its all about the ping.... If you have 1,5 mbit and a good latency it feels better than 100mbit with a bad ping ;)
-
No. We don't need more red bars teleporting around.

-
2 RepliesI don't have it just yet. I'm still deciding if I should pay to get the Internet.
-
I don't know how you'll survive without Netflix or YouTube because 1.5 Mbps is SLOOOOOW.
-
1 ReplyYep its ok i used to have a connection like that. As long as its a stable connection you will be ok
-
5 RepliesWhat city/state are you in?
-
Short answer yes. Long answer most likelt, no. Download speed isn't a huge issue with online games the big issue is packet transfer rates (ping or latency.) if it takes too long for packets to move back and forth you'll get really bad lag. Download speed have to do with how much info can be transferred. More on this later.
-
Yes you will notice hella lag though. Also depends on ping
-
Bungie recommends at least 3

Edited by schoat333: 7/10/2015 4:57:05 PMDo you get that band width consistently? If yes, you should be fine. You're ping is really more important. If its 50-100ms or more, you're going to be lagging.

1 ReplyLol get someone to host for you cause they probably can't play on your connection

1 ReplyEdited by Dustin Mucklow: 7/10/2015 4:53:11 PMi get about 5 mbps and I get error codes that send me back to the title screen (weasel) all the time, and then I get baboon that kicks me from anything I am doing. This normally starts sometime in the evening. I hate to say it but you'll probably get disconnected so many times to the point to where you will be too frustrated to even play.
