What is the best legendary primary for crucible?
We all know that thorn and last word will get nerfed so what will be a good legendary primary for crucible? Mainly like auto rifles.

Really like the feel of fatebringer. In terms of actually praticality, I think the Praedyth's timpiece and messenger win that one

Edited by Swiftlock: 7/10/2015 3:52:22 AMDue to the nerf, auto rifles simply have a harder time keeping up with the out-of-control overuse of exotic primaries such as Thorn, TLW, Hawkmoon, and Red Death. If you're dead-set on using a legendary AR, then your best bet would be taking a Pest Control Matrix/Her Right Hand and looking for a roll that maximizes their damage output: Focused Fire + Smallbore + Glass Half Full.

The messenger (adept). I know that elements doesn't matter in pvp but the scrubs you kill should know that you went flawless in trials :)

Depends on your playstyle tbh. Imo the best legendary weapon class is the pulse rifle hands down. From there you have Praedeath's Timepiece (my favorite) if you're an aggressive player like me. That coupled with radiant dance machines on a hunter can beat any weapon if you have good aim and know how to strafe effectively. If your playstyle is more reserved I would go with either The Messenger or Hopscotch Pilgrim. Those two weapons are beast and everyone knows what they're capable of. The 55A-allfate with feeding frenzy/outlaw, hand-laid stock/braced frame/smallbore, and reactive reload would be the best legendary primary for Rumble for an aggressive player imo. It is capable of two bursting with all headshots without the boost from reactive reload but with it, two-burst kills are easy-peasy. Its TTK is faster than The Messenger or Hopscotch Pilgrim due to its higher fire rate.

1 ReplyThey are mostly Pulse Rifles tbh. The hand cannons in this current meta are lacklustre. Try The Messenger, or Hopscotch Pilgrim which drops for the Dragon Strike playlist. They are both very good Pulse rifles.

High impact pulse rifles: 3LW/Messenger/Spare Change/Hopscotch The mid-high impact Pulses are also very good and would probably be more catered towards your play style since you like ARs.

NL shadow with full auto and single point sling is nice. If u don't want pulse. I personally like my coiled hiss with full auto. Revelator handcannon is also good with the right perks.
