I've maxed both & tried them both out in PvP but went back to using The Messenger & Truth. I plan on giving them another go after I finish doing the Thorn bounty.

I need to get that bounty someday.

The Messenger (Adept) in void has been a blessing for knocking out the Thorn bounty. I'm on my 3rd Thorn bounty & you can casually knock it out as you please.
