I don't know why no youtuber has seem to let you in on this...
No one knows or no one wants you to know...
Those who know about it are those who experimented with controller setups such as "jumper"
...and all those with "scuf controllers"
Before you go any further, see how fast I can shoot/melee in is video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J7tAIKXU4FM
Watch closely and make sure the volume is on...
There is a shot between all those melees, even if you can barely see it...
Did you notice the extra speed?
In short, what you need to do is press the controller buttons for your shot and melee ALMOST AT THE SAME TIME... You want the "shot" to come first so tap the second button with a little delay so the shot comes a fraction of a second before the melee.
"WHY IS THIS A GLITCH???" You say?
Because most of you use the same finger for melee and shoot; this is the way the default setup is made.
And it is physically impossible to tap the buttons for this combo fast enough with only one finger.
So really it is like a hidden perk in the game, cancelling your shot animation, but it will only work if you find a way to setup your controller so that two different fingers are used for melee and shoot..
I don't think this is fair if only people with scufs know this...
So here I am letting you know how to do it.
In my clip https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J7tAIKXU4FM, my melee comes from "L1" and my hip-fire shot comes from "R2".
As I press down on the melee button, I am still holding down the shoot button...
Then I let it go to repeat the combo...
You can completly change your controller setup on your PS4 in SETTING/ACCESSIBILITY/BUTTON REASSIGNMENT
But if you want to test this with a Destiny Setup, go to your game settings and switch to "JUMPER" controls.
1. Sorry for typos
2. Weird syntax? I AM FRENCH, sorry for all the mistakes....
Enjoy!
