People that ask for super high levels and gjallarhorn really piss me off. That's why so many people haven't played a raid at all because they probably got into the game late and don't have friends to do it with them so they rely on recruitment and usually whenever someone says they've never done a raid before they get kicked. -blam!- all the elitists man. I usually post on recruitment forums asking for new raiders to do vog or crota. Even if I won't get a chance at rewards because I've already played it on normal I think taking someone through their first raid is a gjallarhorn in my book.

  • I agree and I've run plenty of noobs through the raids but after a while it's just tedious and you don't want to spend hours on something you can do in an hour tops with a good team. It's easy to carry 2 people through VoG and 3 through Crota though, so no reason everyone has to be top level (unless speed running).

  • Some of the raids I've done with 5 new players to the raid I've done faster than going through it with experienced players. It seems newbies try their hardest to get it done while the experienced just sort of lay back and don't try as hard because they've already done it so many times. It doesn't get tedious for me unless their is someone not following directions. I've done a normal raid with 5 new raiders in less than 2 hours most of the time. Sometimes it takes longer because we make little errors but eventually everyone will get through it. I also teach everyone tips and tricks and how to use the relic and sword so whenever they get out of there first raid they know the raid forwards and backwards unlike most people who carry a newb who speed through it and let him just stay dead.

  • Thanks man! Raids are my favorite thing to do in the game because of the teamwork required. It's just so bad to see so many people who haven't done a raid because of never being able to find a team to do it.

  • Mt standard LFG description is "over 100 raid completions (the grimoire says less in raid intro, but 70 VoG and 60 CE), inv Tim Damage for success."

I usually try to help new comers even if it's bad for instance I created a warlock like two weeks ago so first thing I did was buy a piece of gear from variks that put me to level 26. So I go into vog and as a 26 I literally carried most of the team through the raid I had one other guy who knew what he was doing the rest not so much. I wouldn't have died if It wouldn't have been for the team killing us off of legions and them missing an oracle but for a first time raid group they weren't terrible. I've had much worse for sure. As long as you can listen to instructions you can make it through a raid. Hell you don't even have to do much just don't die and help out on some of the ads.
