How'd you all like your Iron Lagfest of Thorns?
Title says it all. I missed iron banner but find I didn't miss much reading the forums. Lol. Go balanced pvp.
Edit: Anyone get the pulse rifle? If so is it good or just bleh?

1 Replyhaven't you learned by now that the forums are full of cry babies? it could have been the best Iron Banner ever but people would still bitch about it. Don't take anything on these forums as fact, EVER! IMO this was one of the smoothest IB I have played in and I have only missed 2 or 3 of them hate pulse rifles. had one drop a while ago in IB but dismantled it.

3 RepliesI enjoyed it thoroughly. Using TLW and praedyths made it fun. Using an auto rifle with Lord of Wolves also provided some lulz. And I got a perfect roll ash factory & party crasher. Lvl 5 on two characters. I like the pulse rifle.

1 ReplyI had a great time. Mostly played with SpareChange.25. I didn't see that many thorns either. Maybe one person from every other match was firing off green death. Lag wasn't bad either. In a week, I ran across only two guys that were painfully breaking the laws of game physics. Maybe 3 more that were a little snappy on screen. But in all, it was a lot of fun.

11 RepliesThorn is a scout rifle with poison. Even my 365 LDR sniper was not able to beat it consistently because I need much longer for two consecutive headshots. Only one shoting some Thorn scrub with Last Round can beat it.

Lag wasn't so bad and Red Death countered Thorn pretty effectively. Didn't play as much as usual acme only made it top rank 3 this month

I ranked 1 up to 5 and 2 other characters to level 3. I only saw a handful of Thorns and had maybe 3-4 matches that were laggy. I saw way more Red Deaths, Hawkmoons, Felwinters Lie, Matadors and found verdicts than anything else. Kiddies cry about the Thorn just because it is the only weapon that effects your screen color. You get hit once and assume the whole team is using it. Just a bunch of idiots needing to complain about not being good at a game. Let's blame a specific weapon.

2 RepliesAfter getting my two guardians to level 5, I went back in armed with a good scout rifle (instead of my PvP go-to, Hawkmoon) just to enjoy it with no pressure on winning. It's fascinating to just watch how the other team plays: practically everyone is on the same strategy, ie only engage if you're guaranteed a one hit kill. So, in maps like Pantheon, they all just stand in a line with snipers - frequently emptied to the last round - or with Thorn to mop up what's left. The only other ones are Hunters with full movement perks and blink, running around with a shotgun, seemingly just with the trigger held down. Then it's just a race for who can charge their super for more one hit kills. I'm not blaming anyone for using these techniques - Bungie put them there - but its led to such repetitive uniformity that every game's a dull copy of the last one. No fun for the team that gets wrecked, but I can't see it's great for the winners either.

got to rank 4 for the cloak and etheric light. pulse rifle is a pea shooter and I have a vanilla hammer that I can reforge with better perks. not worth the frustration lol

2 RepliesI don't like using thorn but was kind of forced to because of all the thorn whores out there. I'm not good enough to snipe and I'm not a good enough player in general to do well in pvp. I also don't like using hand canons, I prefer pulse rifle/scout though recently I've been rocking an auto.
