Bungie full of stupid ideas
So our year one guns cant be ascended passed 365 because deej says ten years with one gun gets boring to us but running the same missions,strikes,etc doesnt? Deej went full retard

1 ReplyThis is what would finally kill Destiny for me. Too much grind to get all the weapons and gear I have now to just give it up when TTK drops. I'd rather just quit Destiny then have to grind more.

2 RepliesTry to use your head for more than a place to rest your hat. 1. This is a game that is slotted to run ten years. Bungie did us a BIG solid by committing to letting us carry exotic weapons all the way through the game. Almost NO other loot-based game does that. EVERY expansion obsoletes the last gear set. 2. This is a game that is still supporting last gen hardware. Some of which is pushing 10 years old. ANCIENT in tech-terms. The last expansion of our vault space pushed the X360 and PS3 to their limits. There probably wont' be any more significant expansions to it, until Bungie decides to drop those two platforms. 3. Letting us keep upgrading old gear would lead to MASSIVE "powercreep" Since you'd have to make each new round of gear significantly more powerful than the last, in order to get people to grind for them, rather than just upgrade their old gear. Unchecked you'd either make the game ridiculously easy....or have to make it ridiculoulsy hard to compensate for massively over-powered gear...or (like Diablo 3 does) upscale the difficulty to make the gear, so the gear really has no effect on how the game plays subjectively. 4. Bungie probably isn't going to re-balance the weapons before September. The meta in both PvP and PvE are so broken right now, that they probably plan on using TTK as a chance to bomb the meta flat....and start all over. By introducing a whole new series of re-designed weapons. So expect that you'll be able to keep upgrading your exotics. But all your legendary gear will have to be replaced.

It's actually because they're giving us more content with the next expansion. In order to keep the content below acceptable still, Bungie have to make some of the older content useless to Keep the game under 100% of what it should be. By keeping the players starved of content, it means that whenever DLCS get released people are rushing straight away to buy it with pre orders selling out. It's all a big, clever, nasty con And you all are sucking it up day after day ......
