I got the Playstation Gold headset only because you can download extra sound enhancement for certain games (like destiny) right into the headset itself. Major difference.
I highly recommend it.

The astro is cool too though. But at $300, I don't know.... Gold has 7.1 too....

Gold is simulated 7.1, Astros have true Dolby 7.1....big difference. Just google it
