Oh yes I've seen a lot of it I don't report it because its hard to determine who is actually cheating vs. Bungies server connection actually being poor. - and I don't want to get someone banned who doesn't deserve it. I mean one match everyone's signal was good then suddenly we were actually winning and I get weaseled and returned to the title screen. I'm telling you its not our connections that are bad. The bandwidth must be to high for there servers!?

  • I send in reports for bad connection and / or cheating almost every match. My logic is, I report it, bungie then sorts out if it is their servers / connection or cheating. I have received 2 emails from bungie thanking me for the reporting and that action has been taken.

  • If they teleport all over the place and don't take damage I report them. I am so tired of having good games get ruined cause the guy is over there you shoot him oh wait he is now on the other side shoot him wow he takes A LOT of bullets he is now bouncing into a wall easy kill oh never mind I am out of ammo and he just shot me from behind me even though he was bouncing into the wall in front of me.

  • They thoroughly investigate the report, so you don't need to worry about getting the wrong person banned. Bungie can see the network statistics of a player. If they see multiple short disconnects within a short period of time, it'll be a suspicious report (lagswitching). If they see it's just server issues they'll dismiss it.

  • If they aren't cheating they won't get banned. Bungie investigates reports of heating then determines if a ban is warranted. Just reporting, no matter how many there are, is never enough for a ban.
