I've seen users names be get redacted. Will videos that show names as well be removed? Thanks

Edited by GreenPaladin: 7/5/2015 8:11:34 PMHI Kellogs10, They generally don't remove them. However, that being said they don't follow up on them either. I may be wrong but regardless the in-game reporting tool is the best possible way to report cheaters.

Yeah I figured that. It's just kind of a double edged sword. I'm sure you have seen many posts of people naming and shaming, which gets redacted. Then they post a video naming the player.. I guess I don't see a difference. But oh well.

I agree. I wish they would open up a secured reporting portal on this website. That way players could report after the gaming session has closed.
-
Yeah. The only problem I could see come of that is there would be a ton of false reports from people who were upset after being crushed. 99% of all the videos I see are just a bad connection. Even some of the streamers I've watched will report players if they lose a single match. It's too bad I don't know how Bungie had the ability to sort through all the bs lol

I think either way there will always be false reporting. TBH, the only surefire way to stop all the madness to to impose penalties for cheaters and for people who false report. It just a big, ugly beast that will most likely remain around for a long time. At least until a better alternative is offered.
