64 RepliesEdited by JmoTheOneOfLight: 7/5/2015 4:33:51 AMDude do not listen to these other people. For the love of everything do not listen to them. I thought it looked really cool too and saw all the reviews from gaming websites and so I bought it. I got the digital download version. Worst. Mistake. Of. My. Life. The Witcher 3 has got to be, by an incredibly wide margin, the absolute WORST game I have EVER played. I am not kidding you in the slightest. For starters, the controls are clunky and not very good. They are horrible to be honest. Second, while the landscapes look decent, the main characters almost look like ps3 animations. Also, the dialogue in the game is very monotonous and the characters do not have very much emotion compared to other games. The voice acting is horrendous. As if all that wasn't enough, The Witcher 3 has got to be the ABSOLUTE...MOST UNBEARABLY BORING 'game' I have EVER played. That is the worst game I have ever played in my entire life and I am 27. I would have been embarrassed to release that game if I was one of the developers. Please, for your sake, DO NOT waste your money on that piece of garbage. I don't know how to stress what I have said to you enough. I have never done this or even said this about a game, but if I had the disc version of this game I would break the disc and burn it in a fire. I wouldn't even worry about returning it and getting my money back just so that others do not have the misfortune of playing this unbelievably horrendous game. That's how bad it is. I am telling you, DO....NOT....WASTE....YOUR......MONEY on that game. That has got to be the biggest disappointment I have ever played. I would rather play pong on an Atari instead of that game. That is how badly it sucks. I am not kidding or joking with you. This is not satire. I am trying to save you from making the same mistake I did

Yeah You are my fire The one desire Believe when I say I want it that way But we are two worlds apart Can't reach to your heart When you say That I want it that way [Chorus:] Tell me why Ain't nothin' but a heartache Tell me why Ain't nothin' but a mistake Tell me why I never wanna hear you say I want it that way Am I your fire Your one desire Yes I know it's too late But I want it that way [Chorus] Now I can see that we're fallen apart From the way that it used to be, yeah No matter the distance I want you to know That deep down inside of me... You are my fire The one desire You are You are, you are, you are Don't wanna hear you say Ain't nothin' but a heartache Ain't nothin' but a mistake (Don't wanna hear you say) I never wanna hear you say (Oh yeah) I want it that way Tell me why Ain't nothin' but a heartache Tell me why Ain't nothin but a mistake Tell me why I never wanna hear you say (Don't wanna hear you say) I want it that way (Tell me why) Ain't nothin But a heartache Ain't nothin but a mistake Tell me why I never want to hear you say I want it that way Cause I want it that way

Edited by Hawaiin Breeze: 7/6/2015 1:06:47 AMYes, very good game. Starts off kind of slow, took me like 5 hours before I really started to get into it. Mostly because I had no idea what the -blam!- was going on but there's tons to do lots of sub plots in the game and the main story is good. Combat works similar to (and the game I'm realizing..) mass effect 1 but instead of gun fights its swords. Just meant the ability menu is similar in that you have to choose your abilities mid fight, not the smoothest of things but not bad once you get used to it. Lots of looting, side quests, your dialogue choices impact the world, that sort of thing. Huge -blam!-in world. I'm happy I bought it.

"YOU WILL PLAY DESTINY AND NOTHING ELSE" -scratched into the back of the disc
-
Gwent alone is worth the cost of the game!!
-
It's amazing Im a daily Destiny player who plays Destiny at least 6 hours a day and I played the -blam!- out of the witcher 3 ABSOLUTELY amazing get it NOW 100% worth And its the first witcher I've ever played btw
-
5 RepliesCan someone explain how to play gwent? The tutorial didn't help and I'd like to learn to play
-
The on-screen text size is horrendously small. I can't read anything without having to move 5 feet closer to the TV. That is a bug complaint that is found online.
-
IF you're looking for a game that has a solid story and is just amazing - yes.. I have over 130 hours into the game and have not even come close to finishing the main story.
-
Great game.

It's quite fantastic. Full of bugs, in some cutscenes the characters are wearing different outfits at random. I had to restart a mission that luckily I had an autosave close to because Triss Merigold decided to run face first into a wall and continue into eternity. The combat is comparable to Dark Souls, but not as crisp. The horse control is clunky, on foot controls are clunky. I won't mention the sex scenes. Some scenes where you are finishing a fight and they take it out of your hands and let the AI finish it in a cutscene are heartbreaking. Allow a QTE for those please! But, sometimes a game of this scope includes bugs, not game breaking but annoying. Fallout games are full of them, Elder Scrolls games are full of them. GTA V had them to an extent. Pick it up used? Or wait until its a $30 buy.

19 RepliesIf you like the "tactical" demon soul, constant kirk rolling, sh*tty battles, with clunky controls and a reliance on short-lived spells, potion, poison, and grenade crafting/using, and a protagonist who can only speak in muttered monotone... OH! I forgot to mention sh*tty dialogue, abundant and redundant side quests, character models that repeat constantly, spotty voice-acting, one of the worst menu systems I have seen in a long time... OH OH OH! DIGITAL BOOBIES AND AWKWARD SEX SCENES THAT ARE A STEP ABOVE RIDE TO HELL RETRIBUTION, BUT THREE BELOW MASS EFFECT. If all that and an open world (in which you can sprint for 12 seconds at a time, or ride your clunky horse quickly for... 30?) and a convoluted story that'll make no sense if you haven't played previous entries in the series... BUY IT.

5 RepliesCool game, could be deeper. I'd suggest playing on the hardest difficulty so you really play the game as its meant to be played with preparation and really learning your enemies attacks as opposed to playing as an empty hack and slash. I'd say it's worth the money if you enjoy unique games with a great story and plenty to do. The lack of multiplayer is an obvious negative and the user interface seems a bit choppy in the menus/inventory sections

Here's a tip: Igni is cool, Quen is your friend

Yes. Fer sure. I 100% recommend it. So much to do, combat is fun, dynamic storyline.
