100% Guaranteed Flawless Trials Tips

The Trials of Osiris are amongst us again guardians, another chance for past champions to revisit their frequent stomping grounds at the Lighthouse, and newcomers to make their way there to bask in the glory. I've gone flawless several times now in Trials, more than once per character, I've had my share of losses, and my KD has fluctuated up and down around a 1.00, so I figure id make a thread to help out those who are struggling by providing a few tips. 1- Use Thorn or TLW as your primary. Don't waste your time learning any other weapons, you won't need them! -->TLW is bugged and when aiming down sights at enemies, shots can deal huge amounts of damage that they're only intended to deal when utilizing the hip-fire perk on the gun, allowing you to perfectly aim shots at enemies and sometimes deal over 100 damage on one shot alone! Piece of cake! -->Thorn has burn damage, and right now the damage dealt over time from those burns are so high, that shooting an enemy twice just about guarantees your kill! Dont bother wasting time pursuing an enemy for the kill or getting into some lame gunfight, just pop out and hit them and hide, they'll just burn to death and there's little they can do about it, let the gun do the work for you, silly. 2- Play as a Sunsinger warlock. This tip is pretty simple but very helpful! Sunsinger's have the ability to self revive and have a 1 hit kill melee that'll give you an overshield while you're able to rapidly throw grenades at enemies, and with Viking Funeral on, if they don't die immediately they'll burn to death! Don't worry if your team is losing, even if they kill you and there's no possible way of a team mate getting you back up, you can hit your very own "Whoopsie button" and presto! You're alive! You just turned the tide by eliminating the whole "elimination" principle entirely! 3- Have a bad connection. No really, I mean terribly bad. Find yourself a local Wal-Mart. Now find the dumpster behind that Wal-Mart and hop in! Grab some old wires and a half crushed potato and McGuyver that shit so you can access that Wal-Mart's highly stressed Wi-Fi, and you're good to go! The enemy team will hardly be able to determine where you're actually even standing, and even if they shoot and melee and grenade you 20 times, you'll still kill them before you die, maybe not even die at all! Even the most elite teams will fall at your hands in defeat, because you can't kill what you can't hit! 4- Use a sniper rifle with final round. These sniper rifles were determined to be so powerful that Bungie decided that all future snipers wouldn't be able to even have the perk on them, but for some reason they let it remain on all of the snipers that made them realize how big of a problem it was! Oh Bungie, they're great at problem solving! The trick here is, rather than bother with that whole "accuracy" thing people claim you need to be a good sniper, you can shoot all the rounds into the floor except the last one, and now you can shoot an enemy anywhere in their body and they'll die immediately! That'll get rid of those pesky enemy snipers, along with anyone rushing at you! Just slide toward them and aim down sight so your whole scope is a chunk of their flesh, pull the trigger and they're dead instantly! MLG status baby! WHOO! 5- Combine previous tips into one! -->Run a sunsinger warlock with burning grenades, Thorn, and a Final Round sniper! Between the constant burning, your "get out of death free" card, and instant one hit kills, you'll be using crutches big enough to carry Andre the Giant! I call this setup the "Tiny Tim load out". If you follow these initial five tips I've provided you with, you too can "Tiny-Tim" your way to the lighthouse! Hurry though guardians, according to the little birds these our blessed developers may be making changes "soon" that may render these tactics obsolete, and then what shall we do, fight our enemies without abusing stacked advantages? Be forced to consider using other weapons and formulating "real" strategy? Engage in gunfights where we actually have to earn our kills against our opponents and put actual effort into winning? Act now guardians, grip your mighty crutches proudly and tightly as you possibly can under both arms and Tiny-Tim your way to victory while you can!

      • Firebolt or arcbolt grenades are a must have too. Don't even need to hit them to take their shields down

      • I have yet to see a single elite team with none of these points applying. Almost all of them have at least one per character.

            • I was about to unleash hate, then I noticed sarcasm. Lol. But you are right so very right. Every team I've seen in trials runs either tlw or thorn and final round snipers. Gotta love destiny..
