So I got the Elder Cipher a few days ago and im waiting for Varicks to decode it now. While im waiting I thought I could get a few questions answered.
First, what do you guys think is the best reward to get? I saw someone say that Lord of Wolves is the best and thats originally what I wanted for the regen bonus, but im wondering how bad the range is, because that bar is almost nonexistent when I inspect it. Also what do you guys think is the fastest way to do the next part where I have to kill a bunch of bosses? Should I just replay the 32, 5 times? Or Should I actually try the 34 multiple times? Also does anyone know if you can get a second Elder Cipher while you're already doing one?
Thanks

alright thanks for the info everyone, I got lucky last night and Varicks finished the Cipher so I just cheesed Urrox 5 times and got the Lord of Wolves. I have to say its not what I was expecting, in a good way, but it also throws you off. I was not expecting it to be a burst fire weapon. I like how accurate it is but because of that I keep forgetting its a "shotgun" that has a limited range so I keep trying to shoot things from too far away. Its fun, but im really interested to see how useful that regen bonus is once I level it up.

PoE lvl 34 is worth 500 pts this week. Pretty quick if you got a good team.
-
Lord of wolves us really more of a PvP weapon, so if you are into pve more then get the bow. Its quite the toy. Dregs promise is a piece of trash
-
The range is so deceiving. My friend and I shot each other from a distance. I had LoW. He had felwinters lie. LoW had more range
-
I went Queenbreaker's Bow > Lord of Wolves > Dregs Promise I would recommended getting either the Bow or LoW first.
-
Can you get an elder cipher from doing a lvl 34 poe?
-
1, YES 2, 5x32's... THIS WEEK....34 Qodron will take you LONGER.. 3, YES. :-) Good luck.
-
LoW 1st. you can do 32, then when u kill the boss, immedietly wipe, and kill 'em again 3 more times=fast cipher. (32 x4 over 34 x3 because Qudron is harder than Urrox)

Edited by Garbs: 7/2/2015 4:52:29 PMYou have to finish one before you get another one, I have all three weapons and the Lord of wolves is the funest to use if you use shotguns, there is a little range perk that you put on it and it doesn't look like much on the stats but it makes a difference in-game, but the bow is sick too, I went with Lord of wolves first but whatever your game play style is. The combat sight on the bow is really for close good quarters, as for bosses, I just did 32,34,35 then you get it but if dont want to do that then you can cheese bosses apparently by dieing right after you kill the boss and just replay the boss over and over again it all depends on what team you have

After having them all, I'd say Lord of Wolves is your best bet.
-
Lord of wolves is amazing!! You won't be disappointed

Edited by Phantom: 7/3/2015 2:56:35 AMThe range stat is misleading. The shot spread is much different than a regular shotgun. LoW fires in a neat triangle every time and will fire 5 shots per trigger pull. The ammo is also ridiculous for a shotgun. It will have 39 shots in a mag with extended mag and can carry over 250 rounds in reserve. As for the other questions, the 34 this week is the faster way of doing the points part and once you get one you cannot get another elder cipher that week. It's on a reset like loot drops for Crota and VoG for each character. And it has -blam!-ing flames coming out of the front.

Edited by RunnersShade17: 7/3/2015 2:52:49 AMI haven't upgraded LoW, but I do know that my nearly maxed QBB is bae, honestly one of my most used crucible weapons and snipers in general It's 5 32's or 3 34's. One thing you can do is kill yourself right after killing the boss, you'll get the points each time. Just gotta get to boss round
-
The range isn't bad it kind of lies to you but I would go with queen breakers the lord of wolves I thought would be amazing and it really wasn't
-
hmm, alright so looks like I'll be sticking with the Lord of Wolves for my first choice. Also I didnt even think about killing yourself after the boss, that could make things easy. Can I just die any point before going back to the airlock? Or should I do it sooner, like before the scoreboard pops up? That being said I was hoping to just casually show off that I got it to my friends without saying anything so hopefully I'll be able to find some randies who could help me cheese it tonight :P

I have all three. Got them in this order: Sidearm, Queens bow, Lord of Wolves. Boy did I screw up!!! Lord of Wolves is far and away the best. I've Dregs but it is basically a "mini me" LoW. And I HATE fusion rifles, but liked the thought of this fusion/sniper hybrid. I was wrong. When ur sniping, you don't like to have to wait 4 seconds to shoot your target! Quickest way depends on what the 32 and 34 is for a given week. This week, 32 is easy while that damned Qidron is back at 34. I'd avoid that like the plague unless you have a fire team with all three maxed gjallarhorns! Good luck!
-
For overall fun go queen breakers, but if you want overall DPS go L.O.W.
-
I have all 3 exotics maxed out. I like Lord of Wolves best. Range isn't a problem. The fastest way to 1,000 pts IMO is kill the 34 boss, kill self, repeat until complete.
-
Find 2 friends run lvl 32 kill boss and kill yourself right after he dies. Do this a few times and done.
-
Lord of Wolves outperforms its stats considerably.

I just got the queen breakers bow. Haven't used it as I'm gonna level it up first but from what I've heard and seen from people using it it's pretty good
