What does "kek" mean?
Plz tell me. I see people responding with this to funny comments. I dunno what it means tho
Edit: so, apparently, it means "kill every [insert species here]". That is the most popular answer at the moment

This language barrier serves to seperate Alliance and Horde players. When an Alliance player runs into a Horde player, the Horde player types "lol" into a proximity chat of sorts. "Lol" translates to "Kek" for the Alliance player. tl:dr Kek = Lol

1 ReplyIt originated in World of Warcraft. In that game, opposing factions don't speak the same language so when one side says something to the other, it comes out basically as gibberish. And I don't remember which faction it was, but the term "lol" would be translated to "kek". Now days it's just become a trendy term to use.

In WoW, players could choose from 2 factions. If you joined the good one, all the players from the evil faction would seem to be typing jumbled messes and vice-versa. If somebody on the evil faction said "lol", somebody on the good faction would read it as "kek".

When an Orc or troll or whatever types into chat "lol", it turns to kek because the factions in World of Warcraft speak different languages.
