You need a life buddy. Your arguments are childish. "You failed because you didn't eliminate it". That's such a lame angle to take on the entire situation.
You can't possibly expect to eliminate every single human being on the planet with a certain PoV. Just like antibacterial hand soaps kill 99.9% of bacteria.. We can only do so much.
So arguing that we didn't completely eliminate anything is stubborn and moot, for whatever attempt this is you're making to salvage your anonymous internet pride.
The prejudice you carry is extremely disgusting. To read such garbage from an Internet warrior makes me gag. I don't care what country you're from, and I don't care what you think you know. I fought in those wars so if you've got an opinion on the matter share it by all means but don't act like you're so above the matter that you refuse to have a civil discussion, because at the end of the day that computer screen can only teach you so much. When you come face to face with someone like me I'll put my -blam!-ing boot on your throat and choke that -blam!-ing superiority internet mentality right out of you.

Essentially, they wanted to stop all countries from having a communist government. Even they knew that full eradication was impossible. Only an idiot would suggest that full eradication was what anyone wanted. I thought that was obvious. But they used the word eradicate and obliterate ect so I will too. As for fighting in those wars, you wouldn't have had to if the government wasn't so keen to pick a fight. A bit like you, actually, as I haven't said a negative word towards you. I've kept calm this whole time. I've just been here, telling you that believe it or not your government isn't infallible. They fuçked up and now the rest of the world has to pay for it. For a soldier you are acting awfully childlike. You act like I've punched your grandmother and all I've said is that Afghanistan and Iraq caused more problems than they fixed. Considering you're the one attacking me when I wasn't taking to you especially. Now I've insulted you. Now you have the right to retaliate. And now I'm acting above it all because you're the hostile one. Calm down and we can continue.

You used the phrase "You failed" over and over and over. Like we Americans did something wrong or that we're somehow tied in with the decisions made in the past by government officials. I did get hostile toward you because people like you irritate me to no end. You sit in front of your computer and spew nonsense onto the Internet in hopes of getting a rise out of people then claim innocence, like you're actually telling people things that we don't already know. Which leads me to ask, what have YOU done that's so spectacular and amazing that gives YOU personally the right to be so self-righteous and so quick to proclaim the failures of others?

You failed as during the Cold War america claimed it wanted to remove communism from the face of the earth. America tried, but failed. As of right now there are four communist countries in existence, two of which are successful. That's what I meant by america 'failed'. You set a goal and didn't achieve it. As for spewing nonsense, I thought it was obvious america failed. Clearly you haven't been taught properly if you deny that. Any child that learns Cold War history will easily say "oh look america failed at removing communism and stopping the domino effect". If you deny that you failed you're in denial. As for what I've done that makes me so special? Nothing. I'm just a simple historian.
