Iron Banner: connection worse than ever?!
Just had the worst Iron Banner match ever! Complete loss of server connection ingame. Was running around playing the match like normal when all of a sudden, everything lagged like crazy. I could no longer damage the enemy but they can damage me. I could no longer pick up ammo, or even cap objectives. This is the first time this lag storm has hit me before, and I want to know if I'm not the only one having problems. This is frustrating because it has never happened to me before.

Ya. We won and it announced your team won. Lagged for about 5 seconds and all of a sudden Awards the other team the victory...

People said that last Iron Banner was he laggiest ever, those people were mistaken.

Played last night for a couple hours. Every single game the entire lobby had red or yellow bars. I always have all green.

1 ReplyI got killed with a rocket at close range while trying to get the heavy ammo drop on my side. The lag was bad enough that the other team had time to grab the ammo and make it over to our side and kill us while "Heavy Ammo Available" was being announced. The guy who killed us was in the same room with a RL before we could even grab ours. Fun

Apparently yesterday people werent receiving rep for match wins. But dont worry though bungie said ages ago it isnt their servers its you!!! Even though we all know thats bs.

For some reason, Weasel errors have been a huge part of Iron Banner this week. However, I will say this, except for the two instances where I was kicked due to Weasel erros, the game has played less laggy than usual.

Yes it seems like the lag has increased over 9000. Error codes and not rewarding rep. Another side effect is a lot of getting dropped into the middle of matches, I spawned into a match yesterday and as soon as my feet hit the ground shaxx be like, "better luck next time guardian"

Had an issue yesterday. Lost a game and got my 2nd medallion. Won the next game, turned in the medallions but got no rep from them. Didn't even get rep for winning.

ALSO, since the Skolas patch I can NEVER just sign in to Destiny. Unless I have done a "hard reboot" on my XB1 I will get a "Cannot connect to Destiny Servers" error while trying to sign in. I hit ok on the error then try again and it works, EVERY time.

I have had a terrible time with this! It does seem to me like it's better today than it was yesterday? Could be wrong. Yesterday though I had a match that was just stupid. Heavy ammo spawned, I'm sitting right on top of it and my entire team is trying to pick it up but somehow it was lagged out? I couldn't open the chest and I never got any ammo BUT an enemy player was able to run all the way to our side with a rocket while we were trying to pick our's up and wipe out my whole team..............just not much fun anymore.

4 RepliesMy problem was mainly the issue with not be able to damage enemies, I had times where there was no lag as if they were jumping aroung or running into walls they would not take damage that was it. I would go face to face with a dude, we would shoot each other, all my shots would hit but deal no damage and then I die.

2 RepliesI went on a 10 kill streak and didn't get the bounty completion until half way through the next match. I needed one more punch to complete that bounty and when I got the melee kill, the bounty didn't pop up for another minute. The first few games I played I didn't get coins or rep from them. I got kicked from 2 separate matches (I never lose connections. Like ever. I pay a lot to make sure I don't) Then there are the normal lag BS things. Yeah. This event is almost unplayable. It's the way Crucible has been lately, and IB is always worse than normal Crucible. Honestly, I've noticed a lot of weird shit happening ever since the Skolas patch. I think something got -blam!-ed up, and it hasn't been found yet.

I just report people who have bad connection, and then leave after that game if there were several people with bad connection, and find a new lobby.

Crucible is laggy in general from time to time, but something about iron banner that makes it lag even worse at times.

Ever thought of checking your personal equipment I had issues before then upgraded my modem to a faster modem and bought the nighthawk router and upgraded Internet to 30mb and haven't had hardly any issues since

Keep getting anteater error just as the match ends and get kick and not getting any medallions of iron or being able to cash in any!
