Iron banner not 42 light?
I have learned my lesson never buy a game T for teen.
Nobody remember fake 32 posts???

The very first set of IB gear had 27 light. Was not equal to raid gear. This is why they sell you etheric light. If you want 42 light on IB gear, ascend it. If you want PVP gear that comes with 42 light. Play trials.

Previous pieces of armor were 36 with no Etheric light and it was at max level, now you get the armor and etheric light to make it 42. I started in week 2, Iron banner has always been fun and very easy for what you get. Pre TDB being stuck at 29 forever sucked so they made it too easy to become 32 (I got chest, arms and boots for my hunter on my first run) and now they have the system currently which I don't think is too hard or too easy.

The first few Iron Banners after The Dark Below dropped were Light 33 gear (same as Vendor). Have YOU been playing since launch? Starting in, like, March maybe they had Light 36 gear. By then everyone who was going to get 32 from the raid either had their gear and were waiting on shards or were there already. I expect the pattern to continue - Light 36 gear for a few months, then Light 42 gear so the maximum number of people are at level cap for the launch of The Taken King.

If you don't like the fact that IB gear light level is not high enough, it's okay for you to complain. But if you're not going to accept the fact that other people don't agree with you, I don't know what to tell you. And no one cares about fake lvl 32 posts.

IB gear has max level still, but with the option to level something else. If you use your etheric light from IB on the two armor pieces being sold you got what you want. Again, the only difference between IB before and now is the option, option, to use the last bit of light for max level on something else. The previous IB did not give you max level gear plus mats, just max level gear. This one just has an option is all. Get it or no?

Got 32 and Crota invites. Started getting raid armor for other options. They were interchangeable. They're calling this endgame and including etheric light which is only available in limited places. If it's endgame give raid level endgame armor.

1 ReplyThey probably sell the Etheric Light because the gear isn't maxed. It's actually pretty smart - those that want the gear will grind to level 5 for the second Etheric Light and those that don't care about the gear might play IB for the Etheric Light....either way, more folks will probably play IB because of the way the rewards are setup. I do understand where you are coming from though - Bungie just wants you to continue to grind to level 5 instead of grabbing the last piece of gear at 4 and rolling out.

It was, and still is, equal to raid gear. Why would they make it equal to Trials gear? That makes no sense at all

You had to use your ascendant shards to level the old gear, it didn't just come at 36. With this you have to use your etheric light, it doesn't just come at 42. See the pattern? The idea is to give you viable crucible gear that you can level and use in the crucible, and it's more effective than your other gear you level for PvE.

LoL I remember all the"Fake" 32's..I looked down on them & was envious of them@the same time bc at least the gear looked decent(¬ clones w/GloWhoo+CrøtaGear LoL)-but agree I did think it would've been42 Light level,But we can now get Etheric light pretty easily so idc too much but still I see your point. It's kindve a+if u think Abt it anyway bc they already made it too easy to lvl^ now
