I believe the last weapon re-balance was in Destiny Update 2/25/20105. In that update, Pulse rifles , Fusion rifles , and Shotguns were buffed. That was a good thing, they needed to be buffed, and after playing many hours I believe they are good as they are now. Don't touch them, leave them be. In that same update Auto Rifles and hand-canons where nerfed. The Auto file nerf should be undone/reversed so that auto rifles are as they were before the update. With expansion 2 new scout rifles were introduced. Reforging weapons was also introduced. Now by reforging certain scout rifles with auto fire, some of these scout rifles act like an auto rifle with a fire rate equal to that of the Suros, and have more impact than the Suros. How do you balance this?... simple, just leave scout rifles alone, and undo/reverse the nerf that was done to the auto rifles. Hand cannons including the Thorn were nerfed in the following ways: •Reduce effective range •Damage falloff starts closer to the shooter, and follow up shots are less accurate at long ranges •Slight reduction to initial accuracy ◦This is unnoticeable at close to medium range, but underscores the range intentions when used from far away. I think this was a good nerf for hand cannons, it makes sense. However I believe this should not apply to the Thorn. The Thorn should be in a class by itself or at least considered a special hand cannon that don't conform to the operating physics of normal hand cannons. It fires thorns not bullets, It deals lingering damage, its an exotic. So to recap, bring the Auto rifles and the Thorn back to were they were before Destiny Update 2/25/2015 and everything will be as it should.
