So after experiencing the farce that is Trials of Osiris, and seeing the 'trials' others are experiencing, I have decided I will never play level-advantage-enabled pvp playlists again. The ENTIRE pvp arena is overflowing with tryhards already, but I am more than capable of dealing with them. Hell I even get irritated with the cheaters but I manage to get a one-up on them pretty often. Check my stats, I am not flawless but I am more than competent against even the best of players. About 99% of what I see is bad players winning against people who vastly outshine them in skill by either using cheap and overpowered weapons, or by using cheats/hacks/glitches to snatch themselves a will. I can handle leaving a regular crucible game if there are hackers in it, because I am a working-class citizen like most of you whose free time is very limited due to work and college, and what little free time I DO is too valuable to be wasted allowing myself to be trashed by cheaters. However the 'good folks' at Bungie have seen to it that I be punished for leaving Trials games for any reason. So rather than be punished for making it easier for me to enjoy the game that I PAID FOR, I choose to avoid Trials altogether. I cannot be punished directly or by association if I do not participate to begin with. Even when I have Trials masters with me I still get my ass served on a silver platter to these cheating assholes, and I am done with it. I will reach Lv. 34 the old-fashioned way, by earning it...WITHOUT THE HELP OF TRIALS OF OSIRIS!!!!! When Bungie decides that players like me can reasonably participate without having to endure cheating, tryhards and bad sportsmanship, THEN I'll reconsider. And if I can't enjoy Destiny well then it's not the only game out there I can play...and most of the ones I do are FREE!!!!!!
If you want proof of what I'm talking about just search Youtube...Lord knows there's plenty of it there and Bungie is 'watching what people 'like' and 'dislike' anyways.
Btw if anyone wants to rock some Prison of Elders LEGIT hit me up, my gamertag is the same as my name here.'

12 RepliesJust have a friend play your account for you so you can still get the gear to enjoy pve

Honestly the lvl advantages doesn't bother me I prefer it nothing I can't stand more then to get killed by a lvl 15 or so in crucible but the thing I hate is all the lagswitching and cheating that goes on and the fact bungies does nothing against them is even more wrong then the fact that ppl cheat
-
I try to avoid PvP for the most part and as soon as I heard about ToO I knew it was something to stay away from.

I refuse to play Destiny in general. Played for the first time after 2 1/2 weeks yesterday. After 3 games I got a weasel error and reminded me of why I never want to touch Destiny again. Might as well be called, "Error Code: The Video Game".

Edited by WhitEWatchEs: 7/16/2015 9:22:44 PMI hear all these people say it's full of cheaters and it's never fair. There are a lot of cheaters, but I myself and my friends have never once ran into a group lag switching or any form of cheating. It's exaggerated way beyond reality. Trials of Osiris is probably the best part of destiny right now, the gear and weapons actually feel earned too. Many people are leaving trials for the simple fact that they have all the loot already. I have all the adept weapons, just going for gear with better stats now. After I finish, I bet I will also stop unless friends still need it.

7 RepliesI haven't exactly refused but it's just not that fun anymore. The drive to play is based on reward and once you get the pulse and rocket it's just kinda over with. You can get the armor casually with only 5 wins and like you said playing against cheap tactics just isn't any fun. I made my trips to the lighthouse and now I can relax and await dlc. Hand canon is good too btw so three weapons you need to score from trials to say you got the most out of it. Plus you don't even need adept versions they are the same with and without burn. Just not enough reward out there to endure the grind. Destiny was a fun and balanced arena when auto rifles were a thing. Cuz then you could follow the norm and mow people down with a suros or you could take an elegant road and last word kids with suroses. The pulse rifle buff was necessary to match auto and hand canon, but never nerf autos. Those were the days. I digress. Happy thurs people here's to the bones or nighthawk from xur tomorrow

9 RepliesHonestly I think trials shouldn't allow exotics, it should be skill based instead of a players luck to find something, it would make trials much more enjoyable even for those of us who aren't that great a pvp
-
I refuse until I get my fatebringer leveled up
-
Lag switchers and bungies inadequate responce are killing the game, people are sick of it and leaving in droves.
-
It is a pain in the ass format and shows less skill than either Crucible or Iron Banner Big waste of a DLC, and absolutely part of why I am not running out to buy TKK
-
I stopped after flawless twice. Couldn't handle the same weapons and map every match it's so boring.
-
My savior!!! There is so much bs in trails me and my buddy were in trails on our 8th win and we run into lag switchers and we loose and had to start over because of the cheaters.
-
I dont feel like being unicorned everytime i play it. Its bad enough they use regular pvp to practice that garbage.
-
I agree, u may meet players who lag n kill u through walls n stuff. That may be due to lag switch or just incompatible connections. That's up to bungie to fix.. Quick. But besides that I think Trials is a very fun game mode, although, like every other aspect of the game, could use a lil bit more story revelation. But all in all very good game mode. So don't pay too much mind to it n play for fun everything else will come along. I've gone flawless on all 3 characters every week since HoW dropped so it's safe to say I really enjoy it. :))

Everytime I read the lame "I paid for it" argument I don't need to read any further...

2 RepliesI still have two trials passages that I bought in week one of the xpac that I haven't bothered to use. Unless you go flawless, doing it is less than worthless. The thing that irritates me is that the PoE loot is totally bullshit compared to ToO loot. I mean, the best weapons for non-pvpers in the game are raid drops from VoG. My playtime in this game has dropped from 15 hours or so a week to less than 3.

If it's only mercury level! I thought it was based on finally meeting Osiris and continue the story about the vex. Ask the one mad for technology...and what would be the reason we went to the Vault of Glass. Oh well...all we found was a pharaoh design golden chest that shined bright with purpose to then get a reward that doesn't really help ( except jewel of Osiris that's a baby keeper ) and now it's called a "social place " that doesn't let us see no one but my allies and brothers next to me ( of course I'm talking about my team ! xD ).

2 RepliesNo I play because it is fun, I love the challenge and I love dominating in it. I have gone flawless far beyond the need to and even play it for the fun of it. I have gone against cheaters, but I still like ToO. There will always be cheaters, get over it. Trials gear is meant to be obtained by those who have the skill to obtain it, if you want pve gear do poe or the raids.
-
It's the 'snipe a player and no HP registering' and 'close range shotty to the head and no damage registering' that stops me playing Trals. Pretty much the only game mode in Destiny I won't consider even playing.

4 RepliesStated very well. My issue is that ToO it is geared for an elite group of players who have very good to excellent skills and I am not one of those players. I accept that . What I don't accept is the poor gamesmanship and "tea bagging" bullshit that only makes loosing worse. I will never be good. Look at my stats. But hear is why, I am an older player who never grew up playing online PVP. This is my first PvPgame ever and I don't have the reaction skills or programmed triggers that say shoot. My triggers are geared to look and verify before you shoot. To take the step and actually verify your target is far often the reason I seem to die. I have tried to change but I am to old to reset some of the needed skills. You will hear people say "get good scrub" in these forums and everytime I say to myself their is a "tea bagger"! And I am sure I'll get some stupid comments from this post but here is where Bungie is failing. I am a very good PvE player and do enjoy this part of the game a lot. What is wrong is that the elite gamers can knock out a ToO in an hour and get great gear. I have to grind out three characters for hours each for marginal gear and no chance of getting legendary primary gear with burns. And when I finally get my chance at the exotic weapons I then have to wait a few days, let my character reset and knock out 1000 points to finally claim my prize. Where is the balance? Where are my checkpoints to start or stop a prison of Elders? Skolas is a beast and beatable but it does take time so why is my rewards not structured like trials. I should have tiered packages for each level I go up and win in PoE. Why not guarantee me a great weapon when I beat Skolas? All I get are the same chances of marginal weapons. No guarantees. Ohh, and how can I forget that I also have to grind for treasure keys! I just want to see balance which provides a tiered reward system for PvE. Give me my version of the lighthouse!

I hadn't largely played PvP except iron banner up to that point and I still lighthouse once or twice a week....

1 ReplyYes! Bump! Check out my amateur patrol post: https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/135742470/0/0

1 ReplyThey just need to implement matchmaking so everyone can play and level out the playing field.. Plus that'll give me more flawless runs.. It's a win win haha
-
Its stupid. Played it enough to quit.

I've played zero matches of trials...

2 RepliesEdited by ARMY_boy_PR: 6/30/2015 2:21:54 PMTrials is not for everyone and yes it was made for tryhard players. Is the end game for PvP which i dont mind im glad they have theire own way of reaching the lvl cap. I play Iron Banner once in a while but trials is not for me i just dont enjoy it. Destiny got something for everyone and thats great in my opinion.
